Appreciated the kind remarks from all and Cobra's on my - "Eccentric High n Tight" which was more of a Mohawk and got my ... chewed royally by a senior SgtMaj in a chow hall at Al Asaad. LOL

Sure wish i could tell you guys the story on meeting Rummy! Literally seconds before the shot was taken he was an inch from my face screaming at me asking if I just called him a "....!" = What I had said was "Sir do you mind if I got a Pic?" and he went off on me!

As he walked away afterward I asked that same PSD guy what the hell that was all about and he replied " That deaf old coot can't hear a damn thing anyone says!"

I was one of those mid 80's dudes with 3 years as a LCpl and no hope of promotion in the 'wing (El Toro/6476). Our shop SSgt got pissed off I wouldn't re-up so with 6 weeks left,he sent me for mess duty. I was mister light hearted/always happy/easy going.

I show up and the Sgt in charge turned out to be one those guys....he didn't care for my haircut that was more 'wing than grunt. He basically ordered me to "Get that ....... mop cut short". No ....... problem Sgt,I thought.

"Hey barber....give me a first day PI haircut"

Funny look from the barber then ....Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I show up an hour later with my white cap on and Sgt says something to the effect of "Nice high and tight". So I pop the cap off and the Sgt ....... freaks. He sent me to see the SGT Major and tried to get me written up...long story short....I ended up spending my last 5 weeks in the Corps as the SgtMaj and LtCol's private errand runner.

They tried hard to get me to put in packet for OCS,but I had pretty much made my mind up to get out by then. I made it a point to eat dinner at the chow hall every nite and say "Hello" to the Sgt in charge.

How ...... up were promotions when I was in? My best friend got sent to San Diego for DI duty as a LCpl. He told me later the staff about .... when he was checking in....the Corps made him Cpl just for graduating DI school(he wasn't even close on the cutting score).

Enough nostalgia....

Not me....

The only Cobra I fly is blue,has 4 wheels,no top,weighs 2350 fully fueled and has a stroker motor making about 510hp to the rear wheels.

It's a legit mid/high ten second street car that I have put over 60K miles on. It would probably run a 9 if I put on slicks and actually launched it hard at the strip. I'm afraid the IRS in the car will give up the ghost if I do that....so wheel spin away!

I really like yellow. In the insect world (wasps, hornets, bees), yellow and black together is a sign to every living creature that it is dangerous and stay away. All the other bugs and animals know it. Even people have figured it out. This is a very befitting color for any motorcycle. Yellow is highly noticeable and provides more safety for the rider.

I like some yellow, as long as it is primarily black.

The MOST important thing is that the wheels are black. Colored wheels are gay as .... IMO. Wheels should either be black or Carbon Fiber.

Yellow bikes are great . They usually get sold cheap because no one wants them they make the best race bikes .

It's only a colour man . If it's cheap you can always paint it .
