Will this ratio change stop me getting spanked by Bmw S1000rr's??? lol

Pirelli had a nice slogan on TV Comercial...

"Fun is not a straight line"

Don't worry about the S1000RR beat you on straight line... take him to the twisties and beat the sh** out of him.

:D

This is Texas we are talking about... so twisties are far between.lol... and I'm getting left behind... .... that bike is fast....

As a previous Turbo Busa and S1000RR owner, i will go ahead and say---"maybe but sprockets wont help you". Let me 'splain why. S1 is powerful, locomotive type pull in the upper rev range, chubby but well balanced for it's size. Pani is light on it's feet, even better balanced but has HORRENDOUS fueling and exhaust design, WTF were the engineers thinking?!. If those AR numbers are legit and can be achieved stateside with relative ease, then you might bring something to the table. 191whp sportbike can do quite a bit of damage in straight line, S1 guys chase those figures constantly and achieve them with quite a bit of work. I posted up AR's chart on the S1 forum, not a single person said---"Pfft, Pani will still be slower!" but I did see a fair share of attacks on the reliability issues. I took them to school on that one however, no responses after that. Pani doesn't seem to be a contender in their books now that F4RR popped up on the radar.

The new F4RR? I read somewhere that it has auto-blip downshifts, but I haven't read any reviews of how it pulls.

In the end of the day, moo cares if that S1 can beat you. No matter what you ride, there is always someone out there with a quicker bike than yours. S1 will prob the last "hyper fast" bike for me, it is all cornering and enjoying the ownership from here on out for me.

i dont know if any of you use to watch a show called Cheers but this reminds me of that. Sam Mallone (ted danson) was an aging playboy who had an old corvette and he was being taken on by a new younger playboy Henry (french pronounced honrey) he challenged sam to a contest who could pick up the most "babes" well Henry was winning and had a faster car but Sam in the better looking car picked up the Hottest babe at a light when henry took off. Fast isnt everything
Moral of the story the bmw is ugly no matter how fast it is and you can actually Win by going slower lol

you dont need to know where they hang out just park. i had a girl walk into a pole looking (not my pole but a lamp post lol) looking back at my bike. For ego sake i will say it was cause of me but in reality it was because of the bike. i was just waiting for my friend to come out of the garage so pick a place park watch the magic.

I have a 15-41 and got it up to 170 all the same. Seems to get there quicker, haven't maxed it yet.

I've got the 15/41 ratio in...Simply awesome....dont ride too much on hways here...mostly twisties and occasional short stretches...(stock is 15/39)

Ordered the 42T rear sprocket...will see how that goes...

is a matter of perference, personally, i think 15/41 could be a bit tip over much for myself, still getting use to it, but certainly reminded me of the s4rs monsters torque...in the past....
