Anyone in here running one?

Can’t imagine spending $3k on each of the radiator/cooler combos some of you have tried without trying wsbk pump and the bypass first

Not digging the oem plastic housing and heard horror stories about the t stats

School me...

I am all ears : )

I seen it before

Was proud of @Phl for seeing what he could do in the 1/8

I have drag bikes for the drag strip

My Duc is just a expensive toy : )

You still running the plastic t stat housing and the Duc quality t stat in yer bike?

Seems kinda crazy to spend thousands on cooling system and keep that crap in there

WSBK pump to increase dwell time and this kit seems like it would be the way to go @DucaPaniR_Japan

Someone makes an aluminum thermostat housing for Ducati's? I did some searching a year or two ago and couldn't find anything. I'm not the best google-er so it is entirely possible that I missed something. I intended on machining a 2pc housing that unthreads and utilizes a common thermostat(or no thermostat at all should you choose) but if someone else already makes one please share. I'm working with a Testastratta motor but I believe the housing could possible be used on many of the motors.

Yes Febur or Galletto they both available they both are around $200

The thermostat housing is all aluminum. You can get them from Galletto or run the Febur they are identical in spec but the Febur is black anodized.
What do you mean?

There is no place to put a thermostat in that system

The part you are referring to as a t stat housing (it does look like one : ) is just a nipple for the cold side

Yes Don there is so that must have been one of the parts you did'nt get with that box of Panigale junk parts? If and when you get that bike half complete you will need this part also if you don't have a thermostat sensor its not included but can be found on Ebay.

Ok. It's completely different than belt cammed V twins(for some reason I was thinking differently). This was my thoughts for the older bikes. Thinking about machining it out of aluminum with the 2 halves threading together and the one side being sized to fit a readily available common thermostat that comes in a variety of temps and the option to run it with no thermostat at all. Seems like there would be a market for this and that someone would have already be making them. An OEM thermostat is like $200 and you have to buy the housing. in the top pic the thermostat is sealed together and not servicable.

I would not say completely different... Very similar actually : )

I think your idea is a good one. You might want to look into existing external t stat housings? Not sure what size the nipples are but seen one for a Honda once

Samco makes a kit to delete the t stat for your motor. If you decide to go that route ya might want to slow the pump down?

*yeah screw $200 or any amount for that matter. That junk falls apart. You have the right idea : )

Yeah right Don I see once again you got it all figured out. Wrong for the 100th time no Samco does not make a thermostat delete you can get a hose kit from them but still have to run the oem or Febur/H2o plumbing as well as the sensor.
