Just curious my friends and my dealer have mentioned to me that i could be the youngest person to own an 1199. I would like to confirm this with you guys my birthday is 10/22/1991. I know for fact that I am the youngest at my local dealers, maybe even state.

i sometimes feel like 18, does that count?

My kids are my beneficiaries and my youngest is 14, could be the youngest if my wife decides to off me in my sleep

Maybe we should also find out who is the tallest person with an 1199, then the shortest, largest shoe size, owner of most Ducati helmets.... we really might be onto something here.

I don't see how this is a waste of a thread, it pertains a Ducati 1199. If you think this is a waste then I dont think you should waste your precious time inputting your opinion on the topic.

You're desperately trying to show off by confirming you're the youngest person to own this bike. This confirms you're not mature enough to own a litre bike.

How did you pay for it?

I used to be overweight, but now not, so maybe I'm the dietist owner.

@Frosty do you really think I want to show off? Look at my plate lol. Do you have any idea how much attention I get from the authorities from this. Am paying for this with my hard work money and going to school full time. Don't get mad or try to say am showing off just because I desperately worked hard to achieve my dreams of owning a duc.

@Xbox like I said before if you think this is a waste then why did you click on the thread to read it lol. Apparently you were interested. Call this what you want, but you don't see me blabbing how I got a tricolor

If you have nothing nice to say then don't say anything at all.

Really guys I expected us to be a community not a ....... bar that you go to show off to your buddies

LDucati 11999S:

Your thread does not pertain to an 1199, it pertains you and your age. I think we are all just pointing out the ridiculousness of the thread you have posted. Certainly, this does not fit with the typical relevant discussions. Frankly, I usually read the first few new threads every time I come on the forum... so when I saw this nonsense, I called you out on it. I believe that there is a "gixxer" forum or something for these kinds of discussions?

Thanks for posting your birth date; maybe we can all compare astrological signs now. Let's get back to talking about the bike, NOT the riders.

It is a bar - and you're not of age ;)

Just messing with you man - Hey if you work hard for want you want, no one should knock you for it. If this is your passion and a dream of yours go for it and do it right by getting track time and lessons to fully enjoy what your getting. If you just want to look cool in front of your friends, good chance you wont live long enough to regret the mistake.

I had a Monster 600 at 18, a 900 at 20 and an RSV Mille at 24.
Had 3 crashes on the 600, 5 (2x hospital) on the 900 and only 1 (on the track) with the Mille. All my fault, mostly because of lacking grip (leaning angle, too hard on the throttle) - not too fast , nooooo!!! ;-)

What does it say about age?

Nothing.

What does it say about a great time? A lot. I didn't care about school at that age and spent all my money on gas and tires. Got my degree anyway (dont pay for University in Germany)...

Obviously, someone is really proud here, i can fully understand it. I am 32 now, working hard, too... And have to hold myself back sometimes, being so proud of my little diva parking in front of the office window.

So let the good times roll and appreciate everyone's achievements. Better show off here here than posing around on the main streets saturday night with the christmas tree lights, making a fool of all of us.

No I have owned a 2007 gsxr 750 and an 09 Yamaha R1. Soulrider you might have seen my 09 R1 at Melillimoto I traded it in for the 1199.

Corse and frosty are just jealous they didn't have something like an 1199 when they were young. You figure with age they would be mature enough to not get all butt hurt a 20 year old has the same toys they do at 30+...
