Youngest person to own an 1199???

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

If you can afford the bike, fair play to you, however, I am in agreement with one of the earlier posts, this is really just an attention seeking thread for one person.

I am probably missing a point here but I cannot see why is it important to know if someone is the youngest?

It has no more merit than largest, thinest, richest, poorest, whitest, blackest, yellowest, greenest, most hung, least hung etc owner.

If one wants to say hey, I just have my 1199, great, on this forum that is something to celebrate, I really could not care about the circumstances surrounding it.

As we say in England: JRTFT (just ride the f$%"ing thing)

Just my irrelevant thoughts

:)

Sir am not trying to get attention am just trying to figure out if am the only one here. Like i said before i feel like when i ride with the ducati community they are all much older than me and sometimes i wonder if am the only one, that is all.

If anything all these people smack talking are trying to get attention, not me. I just wanted a simple yes or no i think you are the youngest guy thats it or i know somebody younger. But now i have people telling me a cant ride, my parents buy me everything, and am a drug dealer really.

Also if you say "well this is a place to celebrate your 1199 purchase" then how come a lot of you are talking smack then to say congratulations or welcome to the community, but thats different for me just because of age.

I would love to take one day all of your smack talker out to the track and once i pass you all you gonna see is my under 21 plate and a BIG .... YOU

Dude your one up in my books.

Most kids your age are buying Busa's and riding around without helmets in Florida.

No offense, but I live here. Florida roads in general stink. I moved here for quality of life and diving.

I plan on taking mine on the auto train out of Sanford to Virginia, and riding the mountains on the weekends.

Thanks Soulrider. Yes thank god i was guided properly. That auto train sounds like a great idea to go up to the dragons tail. If you live in central florida area you should look into routes such as the sugarloft mountain and Ocala area by Sebastian. I also had a great time in Brandton Florida riding through the orange fields but its a long ride to get there and if you run out of gas like i almost did you are screwed.

This post proves my point. And only noobs leave their plates on at the track.

I lived in the mountains most of my life. The Dragon is where I had my bachelor party.

I've ridden most of the "so called" good roads in the area. Not impressed. Infact I sold my race/track bikes, and my street rides after moving down here. However the itch was just too great. I have to be on two wheels even if it is Florida.

We have a large contingent from our area on the board. I asked the admin to setup a rides section. I'd imagine we could easily get 4-5 Panigale's from area on a ride.

That would be great. What we could also probably do is organize a ride with Central Florida Desmo Owners Club if the admin doesnt setup the rides section. Next time me and my fellow ducati friends organize a ride i will pm you with the details.

Have to agree with Phil, I read it as a matter of pride....nothing wrong with that and good for you!!!

Did you look at my pics of me on the R1 at the track, NO PLATES. But for you Frosty i would make an exception just so you can see that under 21 plate ;)

Congrats, you found the one corner in Florida at the track. I was also throwing down at the track when I was your age, and not a single .... was given that day.

Well that wasn't my intentions. I just wanted to know if I was the only young guy on this bike or not because I sometimes feel left out ridding with the older Ducati riders and I feel everybody on a Ducati is much more older than me.

This is only the second bike I've owned. So we have all types of riders from all types of backgrounds of all ages. But still....I have clothes that I got in 1990 that are older than you lol....I remember sitting in front of the TV around that time watching the first gulf war. Wasn't so long ago we were all youngsters. In my 20s, I didn't even know what a Ducati was.

Well, looks like you need to move to NM. :D We have Duc riders from the low 20's to the low 70's and we watch out for and teach each other.
My Duc friends tought me how to ride (and haul ...) on a SBK :p

Ha, I was 20 and fighting in that war. Wish I had Duc though then!
