Youngest person to own an 1199???

Here's the deal LDucati, if, in fact, you have worked your ... off while being a full-time student, and are able to afford an 1199. Great. I respect the hell out of that! The fact that you accomplished that goal should be reward enough. It's called humility. Comes with age and experience. Starting a thread trying to point out that you are possibly the youngest to own one seems pretty arrogant and childish. Hence the negative responses. Who cares if you are the youngest. Get off your computer and get your ... out there and ride the damn thing.

BTW, I just bought one for my 9 year old nephew so I guess that makes him the youngest.

Cheers, SLN

Dude, don't make it out like its everyone else's problem with you, that just isn't how it is.

I see you have edited your initial post, so I can't re-read your original words, but something obviously came across in a way that generated some responses that you didn't like.

No matter. Just enjoy your bike and keep in rubber side down.

How are you going to tell me it's my problem when you and a couple others discriminated me simply because of my age. All I asked was a simple question about whether or not I am the only young person driving this bike. I like it how you try to twist things around to make it seem like you are the victim here. Am only defending myself.

Like I said before if you had an issue with the topic then you didn't need to respond to it.

Slnvail and Phil I wasn't trying to rub it in on anybodys face that I got the bike or anything like that. I was just trying to see if I was the only one on this bike at this age because like I said before I noticed that everyone else is older than me and I was just curious because sometimes I have felt left out. Anyways why would I rub in about a bike that I would assume that everyone else on the forum has the bike also lol.

Did frosty ever answer this question ?

Fair play if you own the pani at such at young age good work fella:D

Hasn't arrived yet, but I'm paying CASH. Not "hey everyone look at me I got approved for financing!"

Do the math....he obviously still lives at home with mom and dad. Pretty easy to afford toys when you don't have real life to pay for!

This is such fun!

I can't tell up from down dude, as you edited your original post today.

Still, keep it rubber side down.

when I was a kid we just went into the bushes to see whos thingy was bigger. Boy showing off sure has become a lot more expensive.

Hater's gonna hate. I cant imagine what your insurance is like. I guess its true that there are lots of old farts on Ducati, judging by this thread :D

That almost stopped me from getting the bike at one point. I was get quotes from 4k-7k, just ridiculous. In the end however a friend recommended me to his insurance company and they gave me full coverage on the bike and bodidly injury coverage for 750 for the year. I got really lucky.

I don't know what you are talking about because I checked twice after you mentioned this and the only post that shows that I edited was the main one and the other when I asked frosty if he even owned the bike which I added. It could have made an error since am using this on my mobile phone. Everything I said I meant the first time around.

LDucati ,
Congrats on the bike ! I would have killed for a Duc at your age ! But , I had to settle for a GSX-R 750. Still a fun bike. I'm getting my Base from Melillimoto to. Did the paperwork yesterday , and will pick it up in a few days. Can't wait ! Add me to your list for a central FL. ride ! I'm 40 yrs old now , and pretty much ride like a puss. But , I'd love to go for a group Duc ride ! Don't worry about the few idiots on this forum , most of the guys on here seem pretty cool. Take it easy , and enjoy that bad-... bike !

Congrats to you also, by the way great choice in the dealership Sebastian is the best. Don't worry about whether or not you ride fast or slow when we ride we have people from varies types of skill and varies ages me being the youngest and the oldest around in their 40s also. Next time we organize a ride I will either post on the ride section (if one is created) or I will make a thread. As long this tropical storm clears up for next weekend we will most likely ride.

I've tried to resist posting in thread.. but you keep raggin on this kid. Why are you such a hater??

Methinks you're a little hypocritical assuming you're the only one that's able to pay "CASH" for a Pani.

One the one hand you're criticising this kid for starting a thread that you interpreted as saying
"Look at me... I'm only 20 and I'm riding a Pani"

Yet on the other hand you're saying
"Look at me. I earn so much I can pay for this in CASH"

what gives dude?:confused::confused::confused:

Truth be told... it's not uncommon for uni students to be 30K a year these days. If this kid chooses to spend his money on a bike, then power to him.. beats blowing it on drinks n drugs. At least he'll have something to show for his money.
Also, it's not all that uncommon for kids to live at home until late 20s these days.

FYI.. a bike is nothing more than a toy. You'd be surprise how many are paying cash for their "toy". In fact, I don't think I know anyone who has financed a bike, no matter how exotic.

don't take the blue STD too serious... he just wants to give you a hard time. i bet in real life he's a really nice guy.

the thread itself just gives so much possibilities to go for it...
and the funny imitators are coming up until this whole forum is crap/.

i wish you all a nice weekend and gonna pick up my bike with the new rear tire later (nail damage after 5 days) . and pay for it in cash. haha

Seriously, let him be. 20 years old..buys a Ducati and attends track days.

These are the kids we need buying bikes, not the squids buying guido bikes and pissing everyone off on the road.

Bought my 1st sportbike living at home at 18 years old...and then my 2nd at 18 years old...and then my 3rd at 19. The rest is history.

If he's buying a Ducati at 20 and working hard to do so....it's different. Better than the posers here bragging about how many porsches they have in their garage...now that's just sad.
