sprocket

Can anyone explain what is envolved in changing the rear sprocket. I think I'm going to go with a quick change set up. Not because I race but because it looks cool in the Starbucks parking lot.:confused:

I just wanted people to post some pictures of their sprocket carriers since the sprocket upgrade.......im not sure what color to go with and figure seeing pics will help my decision......please help guys

i like many of you recently got the new 41 t sprocket. when i picked up the bike i asked about an up map. they said there was none. is this true? the last upmap i received was about march with my termi slips. am i up to date.

Sorry no pics but HOLY SHNIKEYS what an improvement! I honestly did not expect this much of a low end change, so glad I had this done! As I take the stock parts and load them into my backpack for the ride home, I couldn't help but think I must've shed a couple of pounds with the new kit too...

So has anyone here had the sprocket & chain kit upgrade done? I have ordered mine they said it will mainly benefit track riding, it has 2 teeth more on the rear and will cost about $300. What's the verdict, worth it? Oh it comes with a map to suit the change.

A good friend of mine had did the change this weekend. Sorry shawn i have to post your comments. he said and i quote. This is how the bike should have come from the manufacturer. lots of low end power not a big loss up top. not that this part matters he said very easy to wheelie now

im looking at sprockets does aluminum sprocket wear out alot quicker and what brand you guys think are the best? whats the difference besides weight from magnesium vs alloy quick change carrier?

Just curious as to why Ducati went with goin up 2 teeth rear sprocket change as opposed to going one down in the front? Wouldn't going down 1 in the front allow you to keep the same chain and be easier? Any theories?

Got the AFAM sprockets and carrier and they don't come with any torque settings. Anyone who has done this have the torque setting for the rear and front sprocket? The Cush drive nuts on the 1098 are 48nm. Not sure if these are the same value for the 1199.
