Quickshifter

So far so good. I'll know more weekend of 5/30 at Buttonwillow. It's definitely better than stock for sure though. I have been riding a Tuono with up and down quick shifter, and it's been so good. So my surprise on how clunky and problematic the Duke's was.

Shifts sound really smooth
I have the Ducati performance on my 899 it works fine but not as smooth as I would like
I might look into upgrading to cordona at some point

Awesome. Looking forward to reading your thoughts and review.

Should be receiving the Cordona unit next week; can't wait because the OEM quickshifter is getting weirder for me- downshifts 5-4 or 4-3 are seemingly randomly successful so I started playing with setup yesterday.
What I found was that the upper gear downshifts do not like fully closed throttle, though sometimes it will work but I couldn't pinpoint an rpm because what worked once wouldn't a second time. Tried different targeted speeds and rpms multiple times.
Keeping the throttle slightly open, or opening it a bit if it's closed, those blip downshifts happen at all rpms. But from 3rd gear down, you can take your hand off the bars and it will still blip and click no problem.
I don't know why it operates this way, but coming into a fast corner in 4th the last thing I need is to try and process a slight throttle opening while braking and setting up body position. So for now I clutch down from the upper gears so there's no last second surprises. I for one don't typically downshift while still applying throttle unless I'm looking to gain rpms and bolt, so during deceleration it is unsettling.

i found, while replacing the first chain, one pin of the connecting link with no grease. why??

I am gonna guess that if you ground the head off every one of the 100+ pins, pushed em all out and inspected all of them, that there would be more just like that

I wouldn’t lose any sleep over it

Regina ain’t all that and a bag of chips : )

was just an example. and i dont believe that. it was the hollow rivet link, and so Duc-made. Regina use a machine for that, i hope.
example for manufacturing quality.
btw.
i found this:
https://www.domino-group.com/oem/en/quick-shifter.htmldo they go over to hall switches (instead of the mechanical)?
maybe I'm wrong and the Problem is in the switches.
But i found sensors going very smooth and others very scratchy.
so at first i would assume a mechanical problem.
(unfortunally?) these are still working and I have no reason yet to explore this further.

I've had this issue too. Most of the time it's 5-6. I'll get what feels like a shift to neutral, high some in rpm, then very very shortly a shift to 6th and a big clunk from the tranny. I cringe when it happens

It seems the SFV4 and Panigale V4 DQS units have different connectors, which is obnoxious. Is Cordona the only direct-fit option for a SFV4 currently?

FYI, it seems the SFV4 uses a Panigale V2-style connector rather than Panigale V4, but needs a different shift rod length than the Panigale V2, so it's a unique setup. Answering my own question, yes, it seems only Cordona is currently making a direct fit SFV4 DQS replacement. Translogic told me they are working on one.

I ordered the Cordona, simple install, and it's awesome when testing around the block. Will get a better feel at my next track day in a couple weeks.

Ivan @ Cordona was great to work with and I would strongly recommend contacting him direct for anyone who goes this route. I needed a custom rod length for my rearsets and he got me exactly what I needed from measurements.

FYI2, with three track days on it- the Cordona unit is awesome. Should have done it sooner.

Hey guys, for those of you using the translogic quickshifter, did you attach this adaptor? Trying to get smoother shifts at higher RPMs unsure if this is needed, and unable to download the manual when I punch in my serial number on their site.

That adapter is for the reverse shift pattern. It does not change the mechanical functionality of the TL unit itself nor does it have any effect on the dynamics of changing gears other than the pattern.

How was it different on track? My OEM is good on streets but on track I have been having problems. When I shift from 2 -> 3 rd it is not shifting on first try. I am thinking that on hard acceleration my touch to the pedal is too light. What do you think would Cordona help or is it just me?
