1199 base VS. s1000rr HP4 last night

She gained more than 16 hp in her mid range with an equal increase in torque and about 6 hp on top and less drop off at max until she hits the rev limiter. my friend has just the base s1000rr with some mods pushing around 186rwhp, my 1199 is stock with just a tune (172rwhp).

we are constantly at the drags (we both run strap front ends) and the only way i am able to beat him is if i get him in the 1st 60' . If not by half track his bike just pulls so hard and walks away from me. 90% of the time when i get the jump on him at the beginning he is right on my tail as we cross the line.

I love the 1199 but omg the top end of the bmw is just insane!

My PB is 9.736, his is 9.723sec however another one of our friends with the same mods and power has done a 9.1 second on his bmw, bs fast for unopen motor and stock wheelbase

And a base s1k will never beat a HP4 with equal riders.

And to correct someone earlier, the both have the same HP. But obviously different exhaust and a different tune. And there are many differences between them besides the bling.
