for me, any thoughts of excessive heat are mostly gone with the new heatshield.

actually very glad to hear the upgrade works. I'll just ask Randy if he could take it in for that upgrade. One other thing, I hear the carbon version of the heat shield works better, is this so?
And about the brakes I have not noticed any funny feel: perhaps i was too busy worried about being roasted in time for dinner.
Interesting point about no-mans-land between 1st and 2nd. I was wondering what the issue was and now I get it, thanks. So I'll follow your lead and perform a sprocket tooth upgrade. thanks guys

I have all the heat shields and the performance seat with more foam, but the heat at stop or during compression braking builds right underneath my balls and seat. Thinking about lining the underside of the seat with some heat reflect tape. Damn, its still hot in that I sweat on my lower thighs even at 70 degrees F ambient.
