Well, good for you!

Read carefully what I have said in my post before writing things out of context - looks like the age thing touched a nerve ;)

At 49 I hope you are fit and dont have a big belly and are bald at the same time because that will look aweful on an R.

No, the age thing didn't touch me. I am not bald and have not a big belly. I am still very attr..... Pfff. Funny guys. :D

Hey Patrick
You forgot to add those Ducati corse 12 leathers to your signature block
You have everything else listed even stuff you don't have anymore
Reminds me of good ol RSRracer and his list of stuff

I have some Corse 10 leathers too all scraped due to a fall on Assen. I can add all those zillions of sold Kawasakis and Hondas too, but I would be ashamed to post them here. ;)

I think it is a great thing that Ducati is making something better, more improvements, every year. Look at Yamaha or Honda...they have same .... ever year with ZERO improvements and its boring. Ok. Yamaha and Honda wins MotoGPs...who cares! Its not like I am a MotoGP rider trying to win champonships. I rather have a awesome street version bikes that I can track when I have the itch.

And those who are buying/wanting the best lineup model. Good for you and enjoy while you can.

Not being personal but I think Acowisk is going through his mid-life crisis at the moment. His example is of a classic one and I do not blame him for it, looks like he missed out on a lot in his earlier life and he is doing all he can to catch up with what he could have done earlier.

I have a couple of friends that are no different, they are in their 40s and they do things they should have done earlier in their lives like say in their 20s but family commitments etc stopped them from doing it. One chap I know got divorced at the age of 48 and he just bought a HP4!

I think it has to do with a build up of frustration over time and it shows itself in different forms.

I am tbh... I got divorced last year and I could have never dreamt of owning a motorcycle had I still been married..

I would consider it as a life opportunity that may not come again and would like to enjoy it to the fullest..

Had I waited and not bought the R, I probably won't even stand a chance of getting this.. I agree its a financial hit but when its there for the taking, I would go for it..

To all guys and women,
Some women don't let their husbands have their own things. Live and let live and appreciate each other. If she has a stupid hobby in your opinion, what gives. Support her and vice versa.

Enjoy your R, acowsik.

Preview invite emails are going out today... Just received mine and I'm sure others have received theirs!

The titanium spring on the TTX looks sick! But...stock rearsets? Come on!

they might be the lightest...

keep in mind, they still want to sell DP aftermarket suff !!!

if you spend 65k on a bike, another few k for footpegs, stands, cover, charger, windshield, and what else won't hurt...

Agree 100%.

Apologize for going a bit off topic here..

I never said no to my ex and supported whatever she wanted to do and I am a hardcore gamer too in addition to having other interests and she hated that.. moreover it was she who wanted the divorce and I gladly obliged..

I will enjoy my R for now as much as I can till I have to trade it in for the Superleggera (already done 1200 miles in a month which is a lot by my standard)..

I will be putting down the deposit sometime next month to be assured of getting one next spring..

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?

Just received the email... It would be sweet to book the viewing at the Ducati Design Center in Bologna.
