well it seems that the 1299 and 1299s still get the ...... 39 tooth rear sproket while the R gets the 41 tooth sprocket. i wonder why this is can it be they want you to upgrade bwhahaha

It may not be as necessary on the 1299, considering the additional low and mid-range torque. Most of the the '15 1199R's power will still be focused towards the top of the power band, so the additional acceleration grunt provided by the 41T rear will likely remain a welcomed enhancement.

good point duck

Accessories account for a huge slice of their profit margins. Why would they shoot themselves in the foot by providing a 15/41 set-up as stock. It's always been in their nature to send their products to market this way, so it's hardly a surprise they have adopted the same approach with the 1299.

OR

You could learn how to ride one.

Then find out it works great bone stock.

Probably not, but there's always someone who will. Point is, their bikes are always pitched as a blank canvas, which owners can choose to "enhance" the looks and performance of, if they so desire. Naturally if you buy their own accessories then they obviously benefit, and many will do just that. Most car manufacturers adopt the same approach.

outhouse do you need rif reading is fundamental? i asked who bought a ducati brand sprocket when there are better alternatives for cheaper. the comment was to a comment about changing with ducati parts has nothing to do with riding the bike.

i guess everyone on the site who commented the bike rides better with a 41 dont ride their bikes either. i guess since the gearing was so good they went to a 41 on the R .

The bike runs great with either sprocket. Just better at low speeds with the 41. It's a race bike for chrisakes, I wouldn't expect it to like 30 mph. I gave up some high-end that I will never use. I am sure the 1299 with added torque won't need it.

Why don't you go to a beemer forum where people like to complain about the best sportbike in the world?

The gear choice is personal preference, nothing more.

And you rhetorically try and pervert that into a problem of how Ducatis build the bikes.

Facepalm yourself.

go to a beemer forum i am on that and guess what not that many complaints. also they welcome input and dont mind other bikes. they dont have to try and rationalize and make claims to be the best they already know they are. they welcome the 1199 say its beautiful and dont have to try and make up reasons why their bikes are better. last i checked i own BOTH bikes and have the right to go on any forum i want. dont like it dont read my posts.

again did i even mention bmw in this post ? nope never but i guess you got that insecure duchecati thing going again.

I think it has to do with max rpm of the engine and top speed they want the bike to reach.

So I went to "Uganda" and didn't like it there, shall I keep calling people and remind them how miserable I found it
There and how ...... they were?

Nope, went straight back and shut the eff up. Keeps nagging
Me, but
That's my problem. At least I can keep it for
Myself.

I bought one 33% off from my dealer but returned it a few days later when I decided to go 15T up front instead.

i paid 303 for a quick change rear sprocket front sprocket zvmx did 520 chain saved the weight with the aluminum center if you race you can also use the aluminum sprocket change it out in 10 min. ducati wanted 275 or so for the sprocket without the chain or something i don't remember exactly. was a total rip off. you didn't get the nice bolts nothing

You can ignore my posts as well, but choose not to :) I never said you can't post here, or need a Ducati to do so. I just don't understand your enjoyment of continually knocking a bike on an enthusiast forum for that bike. But go ahead, knock yourself out.

I think someone from Ducati must have given him a reach around at some stage . His hatred runs deep kind of a bit crazy deep .
