1299s shutting off?

Since the 125 miles I've put on my 15 1299 it's stalled out 2x's. Once when I first started it cold within 30 secs it shut off. Another time 1st gear coming to a stop.

Imo I feel like its definitely ignition related. Once it stalls out it'll restart with no issues. It doesn't affect performance. If it was a fuel delivery issue, I would imagine it wouldn't start right away or at least have an extended cranking issue. If I was a betting man I believe its in the electronic key/cylinder area of bike..

I can't believe all of these people experiencing this issue and not 1 dealer knows the issue. I mean just leave the bike running outside the dealership and it'll shut off!!!

Bottom line, it’s caused by fueling & those huge pistons - the air/fuel mix and those pistons along with low to idle rpm’s "at times” cause the motor to shut off - I’ve been having exactly the same shut off happen on bikes as far back as the 916, and over the years the pistons have done nothing but get bigger, & the issue hasn’t gone away - I doubt very much we will see the same issue on the v4

Just wait till the stall issue makes you drop your bike then U might just change your mind. Don't get me wrong I love riding my 1299 but it's damn embarrassing to drop your bike - then everyone looks at you like you killed it and that's why but you had no control over it.

Bad MAP sensor or sensors caused a seriously hot running/surging/stalling at stop/stalling when idle condition which I fixed myself. I replaced both sensors and bike runs like it did new.

Pretty easy task, just have to be careful not to snap any fairing tabs.

The only thing I have to change to make this bike perfect is the clutch master and I'm done.

Hi guys,
I am new here, i had exactly same problem, my panigale 1299 2016 3000km, loss power, and jerking a lot when cruise 4k to 6k rpm. Difficult to start and sometimes stalling in low speed.
The problem was a bug on IMU sensor, in some models this sensor is obsolete and show this problem
