Bought a 2010 Hypermotard 796 about 2 years ago and wanted to turn it into my vision of a stripped down / bare essential Ducati built for a city like Chicago (where I live). I will post all the build and finished pics here through out the day today. Please don't hesitate to message me with whatever questions you might have, im here to help.

More build and finished pics to come...

As shown above, the bike started out as a bone stock down to the stock reflectors 2010 Hypermotard 796.

First was to do a overall strip of things not needed. Stock exhaust, brackets, anything I could hack off with a sawzall, etc.

Once that was all said and done, I got the bike rideable to my buddies shop to start the real fun.

And yes, The bike was CRAZY loud with just the headpipes as shown above.

Next up was paint and powdercoat. Paint is a Toyota TRD desert sand beige, and powder coat for the wheels was the same color to match.

The bike really started coming together at the shop. Motor bars. New grips, Bar end running lights / turn signals, carbon fiber accents, bike was lowered 2" front and back, etc.

The largest visual difference for me was the clean front and rear wheels. No fender on the rear , and we removed the right side / front disc and caliper to open up the front wheel. People automatically say the thing lost braking power but believe me with the weight reduction it stops just fine, and the overall look cant be beat.
