Beautiful build! I have been following this thread since I am considering this exhaust for my v2 as well. I have watched your dyno run video more times than I care to admit. It sounds great however may I ask you for a simple video of your bike at idle and a few revs. I am trying to gauge what this exhaust sounds like for the v2. Thank you.

I finally have a video, but I think you already have the exhaust?

Spark idle

Hey great build this far.

Im currently building one as well.

I have two questions for you. The Córdona quick shifter . Could u give me a lil review .
Like is the shift a lot more positive, and or solid.
And lastly , I’ve heard the oversuspension is pretty tricky to dial in.
Have you had an easy run doing so or any difficulty.
Thanks for the great thread.
Alot of info on a bike that doenst have much info on race builds .

Here’s a lil pick of the current state of my baby 🤣

Looks like your bike is coming together. I can't answer either question though, I think you have my build mixed up with someone else.

Ahhh, sorry for the confusion. So much info on this thread. I skimmed through to all the juicy bits I guess.
I found the culprit .
Thanks for opening the comms though.

I've had three full days on the bike now, and getting to know it. After the first two days, I had issues with throttle response and a nasty headshake. So my tuner did some fine-tuning of the part throttle at low rpm to get it smooth. It's buttery smooth now, amazing. The headshake I put down to a few things, OEM steering damper, but mainly front rebound and a soft rear spring. So a front rebound adjustment and bumping the rear spring from an 80N to a 95N for this past weekend did wonders. I was able to dial out compression front and rear as a result of the changes, and the bike feels stable over the bumps but agile and light.

There's still an issue at the rear; my tire wear under load is a bit rough and patchy, so it looks like a damping issue. I had softened the rear rebound but didn't get to test it as there was a serious incident on track and I packed up. I'll give this a go next time out and if the rebound doesn't fix it I'll look at testing a 90N spring (I weigh 82kg without gear, so about 90kg all up).

Other things, now that I'm pushing on a bit, the OEM shifter is absolute garbage. I tried playing with the rod length to get rid of the missed downshifts but only succeeded in causing a few missed upshifts too. So a new QS sensor is on the cards. The only other thing I'm not happy with is the gearing, it's way too tall. With the new QS sensor I shouldn't have any issues changing gearing.

Other than that, it's a great bike, agile and still stable (I'm not experiencing the reported Panigale lack of front feel). On the shorter tracks I'm riding, the power difference to the true "litrebikes" isn't really noticeable. They'll pull a few lengths on the straights, but I make it up under braking and on corner-entry. That said, this was during track days, so let's see how I go under race conditions against big bikes.

More pictures for fun.

Have you tried different tire pressures on the rear? Looks like cold tears in that tire so might be a temp issue?

Where did you order the springs? I find the rear also a bit soft on the Ducati

Tire pressure was what I started with, left side of the tire is perfect, only the right hand side is rough. The particular track layout works the right much harder and the wear is irregular, which got me looking at damping.

The spring came from my suspension guy, I picked up the stiffer one to install and test. I’ll return the softer one later in the week.IMG_4978.jpeg

I just dropped off the 80N, we looked at my wear issues and spoke about how the bike was handling. My suspension guy thinks the 95N is too stiff for me, so making the tire work instead of the suspension when under load (remember, the stock linkages have a progress rate at the rear). He'll order in a 90N for me to test.

I’ve switched the 95N to a 90N, and added the Spider shock mount. Keen to test it in a couple of weeks.

Anyone having issues with missed downshifts? I'm finding it pretty common. I've got the RaceTorx shift support, but the stock QS. Assuming that's the issue?

Never had any issues, you most likely do soft shifts?

Hmm, not sure. It’s in race shift so down the gears is up. I haven’t had this issue on my previous bikes. I’ve adjusted lever position and shift link length, nothing has worked so far. It’s mainly been 4th to 3rd, or 5/4/3 sequence in quick succession. It’s not fun trying to scrub speed with too little engine brake. Could engine brake settings also be a factor? I have it set to 1, max engine brake.

did change the wires around too? I know you get some cable adapter to run GP shift? I ran GP shift on my ZX6R but with the Ducati I heard most running GP shift use an alternative Quickshifter

The correct installation angle of the splined lever arm on the shift shaft is super critical. It should be as close to 90 degrees as possible in the unloaded position. If your problem is on downshifts, rotate it one tooth AGAINST the direction of rotation for a downshift and see if it improves.

Also make sure that during the installation the very last operation is tightening the M6 allen bolts that hold the bracket to the case. Tightening them too early can eventually preload the shift shaft.

Here is my properly working installation as a reference.

Thanks, I did test it one tooth against the downshift rotation and it helped, but then it was touching the swingarm during upshifts (Spider WSS rearsets), so I changed it back. I’m trying to keep the links parallel, with 90 degrees. Maybe I need to try a different shift rod.

Take the rod end out and shorten your shift rod a few mm and you should be golden and use a super flat headed bolt on the Spider by the Swingardm. The standard Hex that comes with it is too tall.
