@DeussenEngines I need your help..

I've been following your V2 build on Instagram and was inspired to clean up the brake lines like you have and attach the reservoir to the subframe.

So I've removed the mounts, but it seems like the stock tube is too short and I don't know how to attach the reservoir to the frame. How did you do it?

Thanks for following my build.
You just need to drill a 6mm hole in the tab on the subframe. You also need a spacer between the tab and the reservoir as well as a longer bolt and locking nut. I am using a Motoholders subframe. Haven’t tried it with the OEM subframe but like it will work the same.

Of course the stock hose is too short to reach that location. Just fit a longer hose.

Thanks, I'll drill the stock subframe too. I've got some Tygon pipe on order so the length issue will be easy to fix.

Beautiful build! I have been following this thread since I am considering this exhaust for my v2 as well. I have watched your dyno run video more times than I care to admit. It sounds great however may I ask you for a simple video of your bike at idle and a few revs. I am trying to gauge what this exhaust sounds like for the v2. Thank you.

I'll definitely get some sound clips soon. It's too loud to run at home, my neighbours will be very unhappy with me.

I'm going to do my baseline suspension setup sometime this week and noticed my forks are further through the top clamp than stock. My suspension guy would have done this after installing the cartridges. Is there a guide on the 959/V2 baseline setup anywhere?

It’s in the service manual if you have it or can get it. Ducati gives it as a measurement from the top of the lower triple clamp to the top of the fork. That is, just to the top of the anodized part.

Thanks, I've got the 959 service manual, so I'll take a look through that.

The next bit I'm trying to do is find 12V for my AIM Solo 2. There are two JST connector blocks in the front harness; are either switched power?

Those are your turn signal connectors so will have power but not continuous

No, the turn signals wires are above the two I'm referring to - turn signals are marked DX and SX. I'm referring to the two connectors which came from the factory with plugs in.

I don't think there was a heated grip option for the V2. But, it's either that or more likely terminators for the CANbus. You'll want to leave them and run a lead off of the battery with an inline fuse.

One of them appears to be a 4-pin block, and the other a 2-pin. Perhaps one is power only (will check with a multimeter). I've checked the wiring diagram in the 959 workshop manual but I can't see any reference to those plugs.

I checked the 4-pin JST connector and it’s got switched 12V across the red/black. The two grey wires don’t have anything so I assume they’re signal wires. So I’ll buy some JST a plugs and use this as my power source for the Solo 2.

@f48_racing

I’m debating between the AIM Solo 2 and keeping my RaceBox Mini and a video overlay with a GoPro. The AIM seems superior but I’m worried about all of the hard wiring AIM Solo 2 and AIM cam will require. Are you running any video?

I sometimes run an old GoPro 5, but never do any overlays. I'm honestly too lazy, and my race footage isn't usually that exciting.

Finally finished moving the rear brake reservoir onto the subframe. I'm not sure it was worth it, but I do like getting rid of all the extra plastic. I'm still running ABS, so there are more lines than there need to be.

So I bought the right JST plugs (04T-JWPF-VSLE-S) but forgot to order the metal connector pins, so I've had to order those separately. In the meantime, I found the AIM cable for the V2 bus - AiM Solo 2/EVO4S Connection Cable for Ducati Panigale V2. Even though it's aimed for the DL, it looks like it will supply power to the standard Solo 2. My plan is to switch to the Solo 2 DL at some point, so I may end up going for this cable as my power solution.
