Higher Clip-ons? What brand are these clip-ons? How much higher are they compared to the stock ones? Same width?

Miguel

has them .. i think in different sizes , i choose the 30MM ones it hink.. nothing much but les bent over ... and hopefully in control

wel, here we go...

a i will change the fairings to a Carbon race suit, it will require a paintjob..

as i love the older series and still see the main jumps as early 851, 998R to the Panigale... i would like to go oldschool Roche replica on the styling.

it should look like this somehow

hope you like it

i'm not so keen on the alu stripes on the fuel tank so i'll have to see how to solve this...

a solution would be a carbon RS tank to get close to the Roche rep philosophy..
apparently thé way to hightn'n output sounds to be the enlarged airbox under the RS tank..;
so i'm looking for one..
any suggestions are welcome..

Koen

... a bit too much on the retro side of things.....not really appropriate for todays world.... but...as they say....."beauty is in the eye......"

Yeah, I think they're all TTX25 cartridges, maybe small changes in valving but nothing major.

any reason why you didn't just go down the Desmo route as it has everything you want on it full carbon bodykit, race suspension the bhp is the same plus it's very rare.

Ok,

today was a big day in the project. It was decided that the suspension and wheels will be changed drastically.

the option chosen is a widetrack Ohlins gas fork will be put on mag wheels
so a set of new FGR200 forks were picked up with a set of OZ racing wheels.
the size will be 16,5 inch to accomodate pirrelli slicks
if i am to believe the seller, who has a strong reputation to uphold, the stuff is of the Altea team..

were now on the look out for a 52/58 triples T to hold them.. it looks like Roby moto has a set.

next step is to decide on the brake...

in the mean time some smaller kit to go with it was also acquired

choosing for sligthly higher clip ons and a race airfilter
an electronic pair of tire warmers was added as well..
and an extra racng bubble as it will need some painting and i want ot keep the orignal R stuff untouched.

Steve is working away on the design and he's doing some great work ! i'm looking forward to post the results...

this is going to be some bike.. :)
What size brake calipers do you need,100mm or 108mm bolt spacing? Theres a guy selling a pair of Brembo race calipers on Ebay UK. The cnc monobloc variety with the titanium pistons. Used for one track day only. 100mm Ducati bolt spacing. He"s asking £1500 for them. They cost more than that each normally. "bike-enders007" is his user name.

tx supduc

but they're 108MM

i just found some monoblocs 32/36 and SBK rotors... for about the same amount..

hope they don't get lost in the mail! :)

For the brakes we opted to go with a Brembo WSBK setup to stay in line with the suspension.

so
on their way:

brembo motogp clutch master
brembo motogp brake master
Brembo 108mm 32/36 monobloc calipers
1 x 320 mm SBK 6MM black
2 x 320 mm SBK 6MM gold

Roby moto 52/58 Triples
RS style gascap
Frontfairing holder + carbon airtubes

pics when they arrive!

i sure hope te post doesn't eat them...

grtz

very happy with the splendid rendering and final touches Steve Toal did on the design!

hope you like it

Fairings and kit : stage 1 ..fuel tank

as i don't intend to murder the original R kit, the main problem is the fuel tank.

these are pritty rare for the moment i opted for the Carbonvani carbon tank.

to be decided is the head, sides, tailunit and the bellypan..

then we will start of with the tech part.. fueling, mapping, electronics, abs,tcs...

Am subscribed to this thread - awesome.

Working in Iraq I don't get much access to the www so just came back to see this work in progress - WOW!

I have an R on order too.

Out of interest - does anyone know what the specific differences are between the RS13 and the R apart from the obvious like magnesium wheels, forks, brakes etc - do we know if the frame and rear swing arm are different? Can anyone provide a detailed list?

quit a big dif still ...

A major difference seems to lay in the shape of the fuel tank , allowing for a much optimized airbox.. it 's got more fuel to...

the exhaust still is diffferent from the R

and of course the electronics package will be vastly superior and adapted to different types of tires..

i hear that kit alone is over 15k...

actually we're checking the electronics part now to find out what and how and especially the 'how much'..

rumors go that the SSSA is'nt stiff enough for WSBK uses and is back to the drawing board.. but hey, almost all racing SA's are not the original ones.. and to chassis; well, there isn't one... :)

tx for the interest.. and stay safe in IRAQ ... :)

Thanks for note - staying safe in Iraq is ;)

Get your point on the frame. For sure the electronics is a huge part.

I found it interesting that the latest write up on the WSBK test a Jerez says "the R bikes will go back to factory...." Why not use RS??

I will certainly watch with interest your build as its what I will do too. No-one here in UAE specialises in Ducati so am on the look out for good places to get advice/parts.

Look forward to your next post!

i would seriously consider sending it all to a company in the US or Europe you trust to get it all installed properly.. these things are too sensitive to get messed around with..
this stuff goes way beyond the competence of your average techie.. :)

i guess that there are about 10 of those dealers worldwide that can do it.. the rest work for proper racing teams... :)

like at ducati.ms, check this guy in germany out, carbon sigl, he might have all you need in a package. maybe even the tailpiece for 115 kg ;-)

he has

at about 2200 usd... :( and we'll check were to put the electronics first..
