Congratulations, Koen. She looks pretty. Many fine kms. See you soon.

Feel free to come over to my home if you must add km this weekend. It is just 170 km.

Who made the triples for the 1199? I need a set for my FGR 300 gas forks"¦ Thanks.

George

PS- I have the 1199 RS parts manual and the "black box" will only work with the Superstock wiring harness. The connectors and system is completely different. The OEM box is a Mitsubishi ECU (CAN) and the Corsa box is not.

george,

the second thing i did after looking at her for 1 hour was cheking the Ecu. .. it is the same! so should fit... it got in from Corse with the 16,5 pirelli settings in it! :)

thanks again for remarking!

George was talking about the RS bike, which indeed has Magneti Marelli ecu and doesn't require BBS to control traction control.

All production bikes do come with the same ecu made by Mitsubishi and traction control calculations made by BBS unit. :)

Race? no , no ... just going walkies on the track ! trying not to get too scared .... :)
20/21 may Francorchamps and then 29 /20 Assen.... both fast tracks with Francorchamps pritty daunting ....

can't wait...

Hi,

i'm building a track Panigale also here in Norway. Can I ask you how you prepared the brakelines from the ABS? Did you buy the full set - or is it custom made so that the split to each calipper is by the lower triple?

BTW i saw the pictures of the lines from your Flickr profile...

Thanks
jesper

hi Jesper,

i had it custom made from TRAX ( trax racing.com) . the abs set was lengthend by 5 cm and the Master/caliper lines were measured (i think 62 master to T and 48 T to caliper) it took 15 minutes to make. cost 154 euro for both parts. the only reasion being that the bars sit up higher and are wider.

good luck with your build! are you having anything major done? let me know if i can help.. grtz

grtz

Lucky man, great bike and great tracks, I can only dream of getting out at Assen or Spa. Curent goal is to make it over to Phillip Island!

Well, I have driven on several tracks in Europe. Spa, Assen, Nurburgring, Monza and they are super tracks. But there are beautiful tracks out there in the rest of the world and I don't mean those Tilke designed tracks. No the old tracks race car/bike drivers like the most. Like Laguna Seca, Philipp Island, Watkins Glen, Suzuka etc...

So another good day at the office! :)

very early start as the tank was to be fitted. And the red tail we got while waiting on the carbon one got installed and prepped for the painters. I

the carbonvani tank looks great but does not fit that well. the plugs will have to be chimmed 1 MM to fit the holes. No such thing on the ilmberger stuff that is the brand i would recommend if i have to choose one. Carbonvani otoh really has got everything and is also the most costly. Ilmberger is more limited in it's offerings. the front glossy fender from Carbon King is very well made also. and at very good prices.

as the robby moto triple swipes upwards and trhe bar has raisers we had to find a solution to relocate the brake fluid reservoir and made this in aloy for the moment. we will look for a carbon solution later.

Understand people suggest not to paint it. :)

but everything is now with the painters in whom i have the greatest confidence as they also do all Alstare paintwork. So they must have a very good idea of quality and the need for accurate timing and dead lines. i just hope Carlos and Badovani do not chrash all of their bike twice at Assen. :) :)
