Adjustable swingarm

Can anyone tell me if the linkage, shock, etc is different for the 1199R? I know the swingarm can pivot in 4 positions but I don't know if anything else is actually different. I'd like to retrofit my bike with this change for track use.

sorry for the late reply but, no it is not different... i gues you know that by now... :)

so ... here we are :

the 1199R - Raymond Roche SP1 - 001/001

we're at 75 % of the way now.

still to be done :

Carbon fluid and radiator fairing
Carbon internal electronics pannels
Carbon clutch case protector
Carbon Rear fairing and paint job

especially the rear seat unit will make quit a difference in general look . the one now is just a plastic one painted to get riding while waiting..

Tuning

Installing Rapidbike race module
Change timing to SS spec

test system to allow more air intake: larger airducts / greater airintake front fairing/ shorter rear inlet stack

dyno and map extensively

setup

general setup and balance
adapt springs to weight
dump the rear DES
install the BBX Pirelli module

Monday / teusday should be the maiden track trip at Fracorchamps but foul weather is announced and
i m not to keen to go on track while having to find out about ABS/TCS and braking in all brakes/pads and suspension.. :(

I don't have to say how beautiful, do love the retro-sticker. Whay do you say " Raymond Roche SP1 "?

the Raymond Roche Race was available to the public as the 851 SP1 if i'm not mistaken... SP sport production was the nomination for the limited series till the 996 changed it to R ... the 916 was still SP , then SPS and then R onwards..

Thank you for sharing your work. That is an absolutely amazing bike.

the body work is a combo of Carbonvani for the tank ( nice but not 100%) and Ilmberger for the fairing .. the ilmberger stuff is 200% top quality and a better than top notch fit.. i came up with the design and the paint job was done by a the shop that does ALSTARE team livery..

some tech : we weighed the bike and it came in at 89 F /77 R kgs or 166 kgs with 4 liters in the tank.. MCN quoted the standard R fully topped up at 189 kgs ... so 166 - 4 + 17 : 179 kgs so we dropped another 10Kg... it look like even keeping the ABS ( 2kgs ) we might get the bike in WSBK weighing mode 3 kgs below WSBK regulations.. To use the BBX Ecu fitting the Pirelli ECU, it has to go on the Computer for the general ECU to recognise it.. that will happen at Assen. We also got a prototype heavliy enlarged airduct to get working on the airintake that should be improved upon if you look at the akward way it runs now.. we'll have to cut away at the head fairing so we'll get a plastic one for that. We may adjust the carbbon one , once we're sure it actually improves the bike. A very trick piece of kit will be a shortend rear fuel stack to allow more of the increased air to build pressure over it and increase volume sucked into them as the stock one only allows for 2/3 cm room... so the airbox should get much more air in it and the engine should be able to suck more air more easily into it.. looking forward to getting the result once we can all make it fit... as said , a lot still needs to be done before we can call it 'done'

anyone doubting that

this bike was equipped to be riden as best as it can, i hope i can herewith lie to rest... :)

did a 2:52 on the very first day on the bike on the very first day at daunting Spa and came up 16th out of 101 with raceteams running 2:45's on the 5 mile track... what a machine... let me tell you it rides even better than it looks..

enjoy
