I took my 12' 1199s w/abs and termi's to the dealer today so they can change out tires with a new set and replace some aftermarket parts back to stock. I was planning on selling the Pani and updating to a 2014 1199R early next year. The dealer put together a competitive offer to trade my bike in and take the new 2013 1199R off the showroom floor.

To my question, when does Ducati generally announce the next year model changes? Since Ducati has not changed the 2012 vs 2013 Pani except the heat shield and color, could a person expect no changes on the 1199R for next year? Could there be possible color changes for the R?

Thanks

It's anyone's guess but certainly not during the summer months. Selling your termi's seperate?

Wait 3 months. Anyone who buys a current model vehicle (any vehicle) now is just a sucker. Dealers will blow smoke up your ass and tell you how amazing the current model is and there won't be any changes for 2014. They know as much as you and I know. There are no guarantees. If anything changes, there should be colour changes or additions at the very least (not necessarily additions to the R model.)

Today I'm officially the happiest sucker in the world.....

Don't tell the insurance co.:D

Too late, had to provide bill of sale. Not that it matters, the insurance agent told me to specify the value including all fees and taxes, so I did. They are paying me in full minus $1000 deductible, but my policy also covers $1000 for gear, which they've issued a cheque for already, so I will come out square. Not bad for beating the .... out of a Panigale for 8500kms :D .

Good insurance, eh? Dam! If I did that to my bike I'd be getting a check for over $32K. DAMN!:eek::eek:

Think my bike may be taking a spill should I decide to "part ways" with it. ;)

They insure based on an agreed value. You pay premiums on that agreed value. When it gets written off, they pay you the agreed value.
