I hope you didn't pay MSRP. I got 2 grand off my 2013 S in March.
Actually frosty I got a good deal man I don't wanna specify but man a really good ....... deal.... They say no changes will be made then they say no 2014 R I'm just excited I held out on the panigale S when it came out and I really wanted it if I didn't pull this trigger I would of waited for the newer model every year until this iteration is discontinued I like the look of the r and it's not 40 k also the full system the paint scheme I love as well

Thanks Frosty! I was in the same mind set and planned on waiting. The trade difference they were going to provide was $11,745 (pls tax, freight, and reg) on my S. It was enough to make me interested..

Thanks for the input from the group.. The dealership today gave me a pretty good deal today.. I pick up the 2013 "R" on Thursday..
The way I see it, I had to pull the trigger.. I have always had my sights set on the "R" after it was announced to come out.
Yeah, I lost money in depreciation costs and aftermarket parts on the "S" but.....the self satisfaction knowing I purchased the bike I really wanted is worth it!!!!!!!
Looking forward to breaking it in!!

I'm definitely envious! I've been drooling, studying, and obsessing over the R since the announcement as well. I think I've seen just about every media photo that's out there. I got to finally meet and sit on the R last week. As gorgeous as the R is in the pictures, it does the bike no justice! You really have to study it in person. A true work of art!

it's funny to me someone would trade in a "S" or a base and take a huge loss for an "R". Now if you are looking to buy a bike and dont' have one and the R is In your budget...go for it. But trading a new bike in on a new bike is kind of silly really. I don't care if it is a little better. The S is already fantastic.

i get a tingle in my balls when i see a brand new R like that !!!! damn im still excited about mine!!!! congrats and good move man... if you start upgrade with carbon bits and full exhaust then your spending money in R terrirtory with out having the R.... and if anyone sas "you dont need that power" then tell em to .... off!! no one needs a m5 in the street or a nissan gtr if all you want is a track bike grab an r6 or 848 and call it a day but if this is something you desire or long for get it!!! i know im tired of jerking off to panigale R images every night time to shag the real thing!!! lol live long and prosper my friends!
