No worries. If you aren't getting the results you want, I don't blame you. I was just saying in my experience the tuning aspect of it is just as much, if not more important than the name of the components, especially when we are discussing top shelf components. That's all.

If both are brand new, then no question I'd go for an R. I'm not an advanced rider, so it's not about the performance but mainly the looks, special bits, and the "R"-ness.

If you can ride the R. Get the R. If you can't, the S is fine.

So, today came the call form my local Ducati dealer and I was able to tested the brand new 1299 S version. I must say this plus the complete Akrapovic exhaust system is the perfect setup. Although that is an aftermarket addition. I loved the quick shifter, the overall handling, and the position felt great.

I've made a downpayment for the next shipment which will be coming in two weeks. On the price there was some negotiation room
