Riders who got the new 2019 V4, do you continue to have clutch issues, having to bleed it every once in a while?

Or has this issues been solved?

Also other oil leak issues been solved?

Really want to buy a V4, but can't see myself bleeding the bubbles out of my 2 month old 30k dlls bike,

That is just pathetic

I'm picking up a brand new 2019 V4S later on this week.

So I'll let you know after I put some kms on it haha

But I would like to think that they've ironed out the clutch problem by now though...

I believe the only V4 coming with the dry clutch is the V4R. I was told there is another recall on the clutch system.

So is there a recall on the clutch system ?

Anyone still having to bleed it constantly?

I have to bleed mine every couple of rides so my dealer is going to take a look. They did say that there was a recall to change out the line from the master to the slave I think.

Dropped off the bike at the dealers for... recalls, while it was there the shop texted me saying they just received an order for the clutch oil hose as well as something that "corresponds" to it.

Hope is just a change in the hose thing

Don’t want to start another thread, but does anyone know if the QUICK SHIFTER ISSUES are solved yet?

I'm in Orange County, CA so if you two have any more information from your dealers, please let me know. Bought my V4S from SoCal Motorcycles, Brea, CA. Thanks!

Clutch hose recall is a change from a 3mm bore hose to a 2mm bore hose to increase pressure at the slave cylinder. Covered under warranty but not yet officially released as a recall.

LOL. Unbelievable. They had 6 years with the 99 to figure out the engineering on a hydraulic clutch system that a 5yo could understand and still couldn't get it right. The recall list for the lifespan of the current series bike will be no less than the 99 series. If you learned how to address the issues on the last series from people who knew what they were doing then the V4 will be easy to address. If you didn't, then these bikes are going to be pilling up outside the service bays just like the 99s. One thing not often considered is that this chat board consists of a very small number of Panigale owners with respect to world wide ownership so the true magnitude of recalls and frustration are not accounted for. These things litter shops around the globe for issues that should have and could have been addressed and fixed years ago and have now transcended on to the current platform. A reoccurring "clutch" issue at this phase of the game is indicative of the level of QC. New problems with new systems on a first year bike, ok sure, it happens but the same old ....? Pretty bad.

A lot of these issues with the clutch could have been resolved with a better quality master and slave cylinder. At this price point it is surprising to see the largely unadjustable mcyl still gracing the new V4. The throw of the lever before if bites is alarming and leaves very little travel within which to correct or adjust any shortcomings.

Totally agree with you there..... Ducati really should have solved the problems that we are seeing on this bike way before release.

Clutch issues
Mirror issues
oil cooler issues
poor quality of fixtures and fittings

The list goes on..

The V4 is an amazing bike but they just rushed it and it lacks the finish. I am still happy with mine though.

so true always told there was never a clutch issue. it was part of my imagination. so there was never an issue from 2012 to present day but there is a recall which isnt a recall. i guess it depends on what the word is "is" hahaha

They are apparently going from a 3mm hose down to a 2mm hose my dealer told me none are incountry yet on back order but my new oil cooler is there, and my sticker kit turned up so things are happening.

haha, does anyone "really" think the smaller hose et al will fix this?

i'm probably going to be bleeding my clutch on this bike and any future ducati.....forever. i'm over it. ;)

A smaller diameter hose will increase the pressure at the slave cylinder so in theory it should improve clutch actuation. I've changed out my slave cylinder for one with a larger diameter piston which will hopefully improve the system, lessen the throw of the lever and bring the biting point closer to the grip.
