Finally managed to get it done at the dealers today. Potentially it only alters EBC and quickshifter. Should find out tomorrow on track.

I have the Woolich flash, and the update was successful. Dealership didn't think it would effect the flash...

Did you already have one of the previously available upgrades - Evo2 or EVO2 or whatever? If so, how does the 2023 flash relate to those - is it a replacement or does it run in parallel?

Yeah, I got the EVO2. Run's in parallel. I think the EVO2 gives (marginally) less invasive TC. This improves quickshifter and EBC.

Also a 'refinement' of DTC and the ride-by-wire.

And a new 'strategy' for the cooling fans.

Hope it's not ...., as it can't be backed out. :'D

Its all so difficult to know who to believe, .. So my view is, I think there's some credibility in the fact that if numerous perimeters within your ECU has been modified by WOOLICH then they had a start point and a end modified point. If you then move or alter the start point thats going to mess with where the modified point is relative to all the other perimeters... possibly mess it up.
Or
actually it doesn't mess with anything its ok to do?

Rich you don't have the woolich gizmo? so cant re-flash your bike with your saved woolich file after the dealer loaded the 2023 stuff. And I know the dealer won't have saved it as they don't have a woolich gizmo..

Worth a punt.......My plan when I asked the Woolich guy the question was to save again my bin file, get the upgrade, then reload my bin file again. You can see his logic in his response...

If you got the Update then your Woolich flash is gone for sure. The 2023 update includes a new ECU functional software as well a new matching calibration. If you flash your old Woolich map over the update you will fully loose the benefit of the updates.

Sounds, like he doesn't know (which is fair).

The Woolich flash adjusts the fueling tables and a few warning parameters (lambda/PAIRS/EVAP/exhaust valve etc), I don't think there will be any overlap. I think (hope), this update is in areas that nobody has unlocked yet. SLR couldn't adjust my EBC on my V4R, although he added fuel in to decrease engine braking, but didn't actually adjust EBC.

Will see tomorrow...

OK, will find out tomorrow. The EVO2 didn't effect the Woolich mapping.

This is what I've noticed just puttering out on the streets. EBC 3 is less intrusive. And partial throttle shifts are improved. One thing that I've noticed is that I haven't hit a neutral on the 2-N-1 downshift lately. Not sure if it's down to the Corse rear sets or this electronics update

Just a note on the Woolich software/tuning. I have the Woolich and have access to the fuel and timing as expected, but also the throttle translation tables (grip position to actual tps input) and the resulting electronic throttle command to the throttle actuator. If the Ducati flash changes any of these tables, the Woolich changes will certainly be overwritten.

All changes in the ECU are overwritten when an ECU update is performed. It is only possible to overwrite the full software and mapping areas. Partial updates are not possible.

There are no grip position to TPS translation table in this ECU. This is a part that Woolich may not understand correctly. Everything inside the ECU is handled in terms of airflow and torque. Be careful messing with those tables that woolich calls the throttle command. It is easy to put the ECU in limp mode when messing with those.

I had the EVO2 upgrade after the Woolich map. The Woolich flash was unaffected.

Has that been confirmed by woolich or are you saying just from a feel oerspective?

It is confusing and frustrating

I wonder if you have the Akra exhaust and Ducati map is that combination ok and unaffected by and for the upgrade

By feel and engine warning light!

Bizarrely, the Ducati Akrapovic map won't allow the 23 electronics upgrade. Apparently they're working on that though.

I too got Evo 2 update on an older bike with an upmap already installed. Upmap was unaffected. Let us know how it feels Rick.
