2022 Panigale V4 Rev Limit…?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

Stock motor didn't rev more that 13.5 maybe on the road. The top speed is limited so is the rev limiter lower on a Stock v4. I have video that does let it rev more than 13.5k

You maximum RPM and resulting top vehicle speed on the road depends on many factors. Rider weight and size will have a large impact as well as ambien conditions like altitude, temperature and head or tail wind. I have seen real world GPS data with an all stock Panigale V4 bike where it reached 317 km/h at 15k rpm.

There is no top speed limiting function in the ECU. Only the rev limiters.

Yes then you woke up.

“Dude”, you are talking to the most knowledgeable person on this forum concerning things you literally have zero knowledge of. Acknowledge your ignorance, ask valid questions, and you will get detailed responses.

How something “feels” really isn’t a valid question because it is 100% subjective…

317 kilometer on gps on a stock v4. I don't know what are you talking about.

@DeussenEngines is recognized as a credible, professional tuner here on this forum. If he says he saw something, I’m inclined to accept it as fact.

If you want others to consider your opinion meaningful, you’re free to share your credentials and/or experience with the community. If you choose not to, that’s fine too, but it wouldn’t be reasonable to expect anyone to consider your opinion meaningful.

As of now, as @SBK-SP said, you seem to be a lay person arguing with a pro for no reason other than being obstinate. :)

I will make arguments by saying "someone which is considered as a trustful tuner told me that this is impossible".
now you should believe me.
Have you ever heard about the A gentlemen's agreement?
The v4 2021+ is limited doesn't even rich at 300kmph on gps. The v4 speedometer indicates 300kmph when in real is 280kmph.

The difference is you’re reporting hearsay (what you heard from someone else). @DeussenEngines, who’s professional service has been positively reviewed by members here, shared his expert opinion with you directly.

You might be entirely correct, but you’re not presenting your argument convincingly. :)

After the “you should believe me “ part you should state the reason.

Ducati has chosen not so honor the gentlemen’s agreement for quite some time now. The stock gearing of the European model allows a top speed 317km/h at 15k rpm and is has been legally reached on the German Autobahn. You are perfectly correct that the speedometer is off by exactly 7% so at a real 280 km/h the - - - starts showing on an OEM bike with OEM ECU and Dashboard software. Nevertheless the bike can potentially continue to accelerate up to 15k rpm without any actual vehicle speed limitation.

If so I understand your comment about the limited top speed….😂

Chris it appears youre arguing over things you dont know from experience, get tucked in on your V4 and wind it out at sea level with no head wind and report back. Trust me on this, they do over 300kmh or at least mine does with a pipe and canned tune.

I am usually the nicest guy in the room…but I have to say….the kitten gloves that are being used in this thread is more entertaining than the usual (insert Aussie expletive here) aggression. It has me screaming that this is a troll thread and should be closed and you guys would normally flay such a subject!

Anxiously waiting when the switch will flip.

(Brews a double latte)

yea! definitely just finding limits. i only did it twice. first time caught me by surprise, second time trying to see what was actually happening. took to the forums and found my answer. just very weird they would have that extra 2k rev “available”

i have an 18 race bike and it has never not been to the limiter in 5000k of racing
