2022 Panigale V4 Rev Limit…?

Try it again

There is obviously no limitier active when you ride. It looks like the road is not smooth though and rpms are bouncing around a bit for that reason. Did you try the same run the opposite direction with the same result? That will confirm it is not an issue of wind and/and or elevation changes.

Go play tetris

Even a stock Panigale V4 has plenty of power to reach well of 300 km/h. I dynoed a stock '23 at around 207hp with the stock map.

Remember the first 300 km/h bikes like the Hayabusa had "only" about 180hp and was faster than 300 km/h. With excess of 200hp it is no problem to be much faster than that especially because the Panigale V4 is aerodynamically much more advanced.

Why is your DAVC lamp of your dash board on in the screenshot you attached?

Here you say even a stock Panigale has the power.
And you are telling me is the road? Was no wind and I am 70kg.
I have run this road with others sportbikes and the can do stock 300km.
I was riding the motor and the feeling wasn't that didn't have power but was just limited as you can see on the video. After the ducati akrapovic exhaust and the mapping the limiter is higher and it just pulling

I’m thinking there is something wrong with chrisssss’ bike, or he is so wide(?) and tall(?) that the bike is literally aero drag-limited? Maybe the fluctuating tachometer is an electrical problem? Fuel flow? Something(?) is definitely wrong.

My 2021 PV4SP will easily hit the max rev limiter in 6th gear. The peak revs red light is flashes telling me so. The speedo is worthless past 300kph/186mph though. It only shows ———. This is with the full system Akra/Ducati tune installed by my dealer…. I’ve yet to cross-check peak speed with gps, but there is no rev limit “hit” unless the red light is on/flashing.

I think you should get your bike dyno tested. Find a dyno that had tested a few other stock and tuned Panigale V4 bikes so there is some data to compare your bike against. I would agree with @SBK-SP that it seems likely something is wrong with your bike and dyno testing it will help you confirm this.

It seems hard for you to believe me that there is not a calibrated RPM limit existing in your bike that limits your top speed other than the gear based RPM limiter which is set to 15,000 rpm in 6th gear. As @SBK-SP already mentioned, when you hit the RPM limiter you will have a light flashing in your dash.

If you indeed feel like you are hitting a rev limiter at high speeds maybe there is an issue with your fuel system. You may want to check if the tank can actually draw in air through the breather hoses on the left side of the tank. If those are kinked or plugged, the fuel pump can start creating a vacuum in the tank and it will not be able to supply enough fuel to the engine. Of course this is just one of many issues that could be causing the behavior your are noticing.

Ok. Why do you disable DTC? In a straight line is has no effect. Maybe it is hard to pass 300 depdending on ambient conditions. A 10 km/h head wind will make you 10km/h slower in the end.

Please do not keep claiming that the stock Ducati Panigale V4 is limited in top speed because that is simply not true. At least not for all EU and USA calibrations that I have seen. Maybe in some other country it is but I would put it under the category "fake news".....

Download the video and watch the rpm limiter.

i don’t think you were holding the throttle pinned and steady in that one judging by the way the RPM indicator was moving.

This thread and your responses are just strange…abnormal.

Why would anyone come on here and insist that because their personal bike wouldn’t do 300kph without specific mods that NO ONES bike will do it without specific mods?

Are you trying to make the case for buying said mods to idiots that don’t know any better?

That’s the only way your responses in this thread makes sense lol

Never even got my V4R to 6th gear, not once

I barely touched it a few times on the high speed straight at Auto Club Speedway, and only then cause I short shifted a few times.

I’m going to the Big Willow track at Willow Springs for a couple dates this summer, very long front straight there that you’re doing 80ish coming off the last curve to BEGIN the straight…that one one will probably see 6th gear. But that arguably the fastest average mile per hour track in North America, definitely and anomaly.

It’s like a Wild West version of Phillips Island.
