First day out on Sunday, pretty rusty... NJMP Thubderbolt has new surface, it's def faster - but I am not going to say better. Some of the problem areas in the previous surface have been completely fixed. BUT there are some issues that did not previously exist. So first day of the season on new surface there was a lot to take in and shake down. For those riding NJMP on a big bike SC1 not good, SC0 or SC3 apparently. I will run of those next day out there. The new surface is so smooth that it doenst feel like anything coming thru the bike which is weird. My knee pucks felt like there was no plastic and I was dragging leather. Thumb brake must have had some air in the line btw rear master and thumb master - I bleed it multiple times but I am going to do an old fashioned banjo bleed I will sort it out this weekend. AIM Solo 2 DL was inconsistently acquiring and dropping signal which is strange, I have a call with Chloe Lerin tn to sort out issue, carbon fairings could be disrupting signal which I never would have thought about but most people run them other top clamp I just cannot do that. New seat is so different, having that much more width makes your leg reach shorter, I may have to raise pegs. I definitely felt more in the bike, good feeling but will take some riding position // body position edits, first day I look like .... on the bike. I wanted to get one day in before I make a swing arm position change, I am going to go back to -1 setting, 212mm shock, raise front slightly. I should be able to get a day in on memorial day weather permitting.

I’ve read about carbon fairings interfering with the signal so I guess it’s a thing. I’m using the DDA at the moment and that’s under the tail cover, which is carbon. It seemed to be working fairly reliably but it did sometimes read a few tenths differently to the transponder that the trackday organiser provided. Maybe it’s a similar issue.

I need to get a proper data acquisition setup sorted out sooner rather than later.

I confirm that

This is a Barni's '19 V4S Italian National Trophy.
Defo it was a problem together with the Termignoni 4 Uscite.

Eventually got the same SC1 tear marks that you, Ross, and Jason were showing….right after those little “comet” formations on the wear markers happen it just started ripping apart. Tire was great when it worked but once those waves came in things got sketchy, rear had a nice step out on me into T6, decided to call it a day and. Come back with an SC3 for next round.

Hopefully see you up at NYST Monday.

Before I went out to Italy I got a day in at NYST. I change settings closer to 19R, -1 SAP rear shock @212mm and raised front from 12mm showing to 10mm. Felt really good, however I need to ride it at NJMP TB to confirm. NYST is very different with lots of elevation, but all in all I felt more confident. I will ride at NJMP TB this monday to confirm feeling, potentially raise front gain and lower rear again to dbl check balance. I also had to raise footpegs to highest setting due to the width of the seat this made it feel even better. I also did a quick data change going from Solo 2 DL + ACC to EVO4s. EVO4s just made more sense for the way I am using this system. I cannot stand a cluttered cockpit and do not care about lap times while riding, EVO4s fit perfectly in tail section, I will show some pics when I get back upstate this weekend. I will also have the Solo setup for sale, used for one day.

no pots or brake pressure sensors, if you are interested tho I can get for you and deliver all together. One caveat I only recommend doing the front pot + front BP sensor, for effort and money I think that is the most stream lined setup. f

A lot of the tracks I’ve been using recently were resurfaced and quite aggressive tarmac.. so mullering a sc1 and I couldn’t be arsed with changing every day .

Sc3 is not a natural list from 0,1,2,3…it sits as a sc1.5 I’ve been quite impressed with grip and longevity

I’d prefer they used that naming convention - sc1.5. Tell us what it actually is.
