Have fun at OVRP, know there is quite a fun crowd there.

Was the side mounted steering damper just for cockpit clearance for the thumb brake?

The thumb brake line runs right thru there and it just made it easier to fit the line and allow for it to move a bit when turning the bars

Got the bike all buttoned up fo rNJMP yesterday 05.04.24 - it was meant to be mid 60s overcast. Was low 50s first session then slightly warmer at 10 so I turned off the warmers got helmet and gloves on then it started lightly raining. Rained lightly the rest of he day, packed it up and went home after lunch. Would have loved to have jsut done 2 shakedown sessions, instead I wore a new suit for a couple hours - felt great.
Anyway bike is all sorted except for rear shock pot still hasn't arrived. Seat feels really good, sitting much more in the bike lowest point where it meets the tank I didn't measure but old seat was flush to tank pad so this new one is a good 10mm lower. I never felt as locked on to tank on the 23 compared to the 19 but I believe that is mostly due taller rear geometry (even tho I have lowered it) lets see when I get some laps in but I may even have to lower pegs. If you look at the measurements compared to flat new RaceSeats It it is a lot wider. The other seat base is the current WSBK V4R seat, it doesn't work with my subframe and I had foolishly ordered this one first but I measured it to see the differences of all 3. Before heading to the track I hadn't gotten my AIM setup configured, so when I got home I pulled out my POS pc laptop and got it sorted - except the rear pot. It's so difficult to use a PC, the thing wouldn't load a website for 25 min - then I discovered it was because the clock/date were not correct!!! How does a comp connected to the World Wide Web not know the date + time wowwwww.

If you want the material that RaceSeats uses I think I found it on eBay when I was looking into making my own seat

Any idea how much weight was saved with the Speed Carbon bodywork over stock (ballpark estimate)? And did you option it to have a Kevlar lined?
