The speedo - I don't have DDA. Oddly, I find the V4s speedo to be far more realistic (although still over) than other bikes that I have owned, especially the mechanically driven speedo ducatis (2 of which I still own) which have been way over.

What I love about my 1098/1198 is the odometers are dead on but the speedo's are about 7-8 percent high. Had to be engineered in. The V4's since you can calibrate seem real close to being right when they're actually calibrated. I too have a few cable driven speedo's and they're all about 10% high.

That’s interesting. I grew up with cables and wondering if cars you were thinking of buying had the drill on reverse to take a few miles off the car… I believe they have to read a bit high for some legal reason?

I never tried to reverse a Ducati but years ago one of the used exotic car dealers in the San Fran area lost his license to sell cars for the rest of his life because of doing this. Legal reason not sure but if you don't know that it's wrong may save one from a few tickets.
