No man seat time equals faster

https://ducatiforum.com/t/ptt-laguna-seca-4-27.62826/Let's all give a round of applause for this guy making it into the fast group this year, big step mate. Also notice me being helpful on page one trying to help you out.

Also, note my thanks in my reply below. I also know and don’t feign that I’m fast. But I’m not slow and I know just enough to get me in trouble. Also I stayed at a Holiday Inn…

For me, if you dish out snark, I’ll respond in kind with snark.

must of missed all the stories pictures and feedback then..

La Limonaia is great if you haven't tried it yet

But yea, I admire your enthusiasm of buying on track photos every trackday. I mean I did back in the days, but its all more or less same stuff.

I remember that thread. I seem to recall that he started by saying he did around 1:50 and within a few pages he was saying he did mid 1:40s. Phenomenal progress over a few pages. 👏 I expect he’s getting close to the lap record by now.

fast proficient riders will get to 5 seconds of the lap record pretty quickly, from there it begins to get exponentially harder!

You do realize tires wear and conditions vary? Dipped to 15 sec off MA times on one day and the next was 18. Seems pretty consistent to me for a B+ rider. Anything under a 50 and predictable lines can bump up to A’s. But yeah, talk to me when you get out of diapers

I think you’re a bit more than a fast and proficient rider if you’re within five seconds of the lap record (especially when those times are set in WSBK and MotoGP).

depends on the track but anyone who is competent can get there with the same class of bike. Outright lap records or MotoGP are another story. In other words get on your current Pani, R-1, ZX or whatever and set it up for your weight without any extra bling, chuck on some slicks and any A group rider should get to with 10 seconds of the class record easily if not 5

This is a bit arbitrary. Big difference between being 10 seconds off the record at Sachsenring (1:19) and COTA (2:02).
