so the new bike is supposedly announcing in November but I was told the new MotoGP regulation might changes things a bit. Either delaying or not announcing the bike altogether (not sure why but something to do with the 850cc regulation?)

Have had now had 4 EV cars, there is nothing better for commuting and driving around the country as I am doing up here in the cold north.
As a motorbike for fun, never as long as I live. Have tried a few, noone that gives any kind of feelings. The thing is missing one dimension, I was surprised myself how sterile it felt on a EV bike.
Now, as being fast on the track, going to track days or competitions, that is another thing, perhaps the EVs can be interesting with less maintenance and flat power band etc. Also the huge issues with environmental and sound regulations are challenging the ICE racing more and more unfortunately.

total bollocks, driving EV is like you said, a sterile experience. if you need to commute, take a fuсking bus. driving supposed to give pleasure.

"driving around the country" works in tiny places like Sweden, because its size is equal to EV range.

?

Someone should tell my wife, who swears she will never go back to ICE. Or the multitude of EV owners I see on my short commute everyday in the petrocapital of the world.

Sell your wife, buy ICE.

But honestly mate, turn up the brain. EVs are 1% of registered cars in the US

If I Google "main source of electricity in the US" I get:

If I switch the VPN to a Netherlands server using incognito mode I get:

Same search terms using a normal browser window w/o incognito mode:

I don't care what someone else drives, I'm just surprised how different Google search results can be for the exact same search terms.

not to mention some of the electrical grid infrastructure in this country can't handle summer air conditioning without rolling blackouts, never mind adding 100% electrical heating AND cooling in the form of heat pumps that building codes are attempting to push through in an attempt to eliminate fossil fuels like natural gas and propane. Add to that a transportation system that's reliant on it...complete .... show. In parts of the country they actually request you not charge your EV at night because the grid it so drained by so many people charging their cars at night...and we're not remotely close to the EV goal.

I like EV's...and to Paul's point they make a lot of sense for certain situations right now...but the infrastructure in this country has a LOOONG way to go before it's capable of handling the full scale adoption that legislators are attempting to force onto us.

We need fossil fuels end of story. Despite what the green ........ say, there is no next big thing coming anytime soon and if you ever get sucked into climate alarmism and vote for politicians who want to make us all drive EV's, and cover our houses with solar panels, just remember that China and India the home of 2 billion human beings are building 8 times the US coal fired capacity as we speak! There is a planet full of people who use a fraction of the kilowatt hours of energy that an average westerner uses, and as their world develops they are going to use a lot more and its mostly going to be coal, gas and nuclear. So while our de industrializing might make the green agenda barons rich it makes zero difference in the grand scheme and the rest of the world DGAF.

If your country can do hydro or geothermal- great but for everyone else its fossils or nukes

Why not have both? Competition brings progress and lower prices. Not sure why you wouldn’t want that.

Absolutely, but there's a lot of money to be made out of climate alarmism. How about Norway, the cleanest greenest of them all with abundant hydro, 80% EV uptake, as woke as hell but the biggest joke is that its all paid for by oil! In other words dont piss on us and tell us its raining

Fossil fuels - plants take CO2, we use the resulting fuel and release the CO2 - plants use the CO2 to grow. Ideal!

sure, but considering that an area in the US equivalent to the entire state of Kansas is currently under cultivation for ethanol and its barely making a dent. Now when you add in fertilizer, diesel for the machines to run the farms, fertilizer inputs etc its just not that productive and without subsidies its a dead duck. We need energy density to run our world, there literally isnt enough arable land to meet energy needs and feed us.

It won’t grow very well if we reduce CO2 too much

Farmers love to get free money to grow corn to make ethanol based fuel. Then of course these same farmers rail against anyone ELSE getting a subsidy or free money.
