Good news! Dealer called today and bike is ready so I will pick it up on Saturday. Hope the stalling problem is fixed.

Got my bike back after a month. Seems to be fixed. Yahoo! Checked the tire pressures and rear tire has 47 psi! Dropped it down to 30. All good. Now just ride!

Last post about the stalling. Got a good ride in today and no stalling at any time. Bike started up from cold and idled well. Problem fixed! Oh yeah, this bike is awesome!!!!!!!

I have a 2019 950sp full termi factory mapped since the first mile it ran. It did the same stuff hard to start after refueling. Ruff idle when started cold. Stalling when pulling in clutch too stop and of course hard to restart. Stalling when barely blipping the throttle. I don’t sit a rev my bike but you should be able too with out it stalling. I don’t remember the exact mileage it started it progressively got worse over time. I called in 2019 about it but they kinda blew me off. But spring of 2020 it was dangerously bad stalling. Took it to the dealer with around 3,500mi. Got it back 1 month later, COVID and the whole parts ordering thing. They basically said the cleaned the throttle bodies, replaced MAP sensor, spark plugs and maybe some other stuff. I have put 1,500mi on it since I got back so far so good. But I am not to the mileage it started at but I am close, I am riding the crap out of it, like I stole it and have only ran Shell 93 v-power in it since I got it back. Don’t know if that matters but it is better fuel than some of my options, I never would have considered what I used bad fuel though I am pretty picky with that. Everything I have ran in it has ran in my 01 SP1 RC51 with almost 70k miles on it. There is a guy that goes to the same place I go with the same bike but stock exhaust and it has been there a couple time and about to go back, but they didn’t get in to it like they did mine. Has anyone had the concern come back if so how many miles did it take and do you have stock exhaust or aftermarket. What kind of exhaust or other modifications. Hopefully this helps and fixes our problems. Thanks. Just worried cause the dealer and Ducati are not sure it is %100 fix. I have heard of possibly the air box is the problem. Has anyone else heard that?

Back in September 2019 I had the stalling issue with my 2019 950SP. The throttle bodies were replaced to fix the problem. October 2020, 3600 miles, the bike began stalling again. The dealer did diagnostics, then looked at the throttle bodies and saw the same "deposits" on the throttle blades as before. Ducati engineers said the problem is the fuel tank. Apparently the tank is slowly deteriorating and depositing material on the blades that slowly builds up and causes the blades not to close properly. Ducati supplied a new tank sourced from a different manufacturer. The dealer replaced the tank, cleaned the injectors, throttle bodies, and replaced the fuel filter. I probably won't ride again until spring. I'll update again when I ride it. Hope this helps other owners with this problem.

My bike started having the same issues again and wasn’t going to wait all summer for it to not get fixed correctly. I took a loss on it and traded it in on a Aprilia RSV4 factory. I didn’t want to sell it to a person and give them a problem to deal with. The dealership is 100 miles from me, I couldn’t keep taking it back every couple thousand miles. I did that sometime over the summer.

Hey Hontech81. Sorry to hear you moved on from the Hyper, but I understand why you did. While my bike was at the shop for a second time for the same issue I thought about trading up to the Streetfighter. I’m gonna give the 950SP another chance. I bought this bike without ever riding one and was instantly comfortable with it. I will post updates when I ride it again in the spring. I’m hoping the new fuel tank fixes the issue for good. We just received 28” of snow in upstate NY, so the Hyper will be resting for a while.

So finally does the tank issue cause those throttle blade deposits? If it is so then maybe it took sometime to Ducati to figure out what is the real cause of the problem. let's hope they cover it under warranty.

Yes. Ducati told the dealer to replace the fuel tank due to deteriorating of the tank causing deposites on the throttle blades and intake track. It was covered under warranty. I will ride again in April 2021 and post updates.

Nice outcome in the end. Lets hope they fixed the issues for the 2021 production model.
