Hello everyone,

I am doing what I said I would not do, imagine that
I am turning my 959 into a track only machine.
How many of you have used the Armour bodies in doing this conversion?
What other things have you done to protect your machine?
Is it wise to keep the stockers to resell once I decide to not race this bike anymore or should I sell them off?
Bank roll is not wide open so I was considering selling the OEM's to purchase other things like, more tires through the season, or upgrading suspension components.

Hey man I know we have already been sidebarring about his topic. But i think you should def keep your stock bits. Selling a track only bike is much more difficult then selling a stock 959. I have done a fair amount of work to my bike and I know that the only way to recoup any fraction of it is to put it back to stock before selling it and selling off all aftermarket parts. OR trading it in and having dealer deal with swapping everything back out and then sell off all aftermarket parts. But back to the topic was I am doing the same thing right now.

Protection wise I am doing clutch/generator covers and that is about it. Oh and a brake lever guard. I dont really think frame sliders are worth the trouble IMHO

I am heading back up to NYST sunday

Nice Karl,

I have Woodcraft axle sliders , clutch cover and bar ends right now. I was going to do the frame sliders as well.

I like the idea of the generator cover. A brake guard is a must.
I ran at Loudon last Friday, heading to Canaan this coming Saturday and Sunday myself.

I agree keeping the OEM plastics may be the best bet investment wise.
