what a luxury build you're doing! Great to see it taken to the sharp end of the spear!

I'm in the process of removing the abs from my 899. I didn't know anyone other than BikeSportDevelopments sold there removal unit. Who'd you talk to at Ducati Omaha to purchase it? Did they provide a forum discount :p

ABS module weighs 2 lbs, another added benefit was being able to re-route the speed sensor to clean up the engine area. Once i put everything back together i will send more pictures. Install was easy, again pictures inbound once i finish routing everything.

I’m only partially copying you guys.

I’m just plugging the pump removing half of it like your image installing lines and turning off the abs at the dash. Any problems you see other than the abs alert on the dash?
No codes you think or dtc problems?

EDIT:
Sorry it’s not like your image yours shows the whole pump removed mine (if I go this way) will be a partial removal and plugging as I’m sure your aware.

My understanding of the kit you have is that you just have to keep ABS off all the time and youll have no worries. But as soon as the ABS is switched on idk how the ABS will react with the block offs, as in sensing a pressure change and then thats how you will end up with codes??? Maybe someone can confirm this.

Ok guys ive been doing some work on this bike so i can send some pictures over. Im installing my shock, it doesnt seem that everything in the mounting points are straight. I know Sato sells a support for the bottom mounting bracket probably for this reason. My bottom (engine side ) mounting bolt was not even close to straight and now theres a gap between the shock and the mounting point.

If i install the mounting bolt it will surely snug the shock up, but i would rather not warp my brand new Ohlins shock. Any confirmation would be helpful. Im thinking i need a new mounting point.

Also see the picture of the spring rubbing against the subframe gaurd, is it supposed to be this tight in here?? EDIT: This was because the gaurd was not mounted properly***

EDIT*** After reinstalling the stock shock it seemed to mount up seemlessly. My thinking is the bolt was bent due to the lack if support at the mounting point (hence why Sato sells a support bracket). Is this an ohlins thing? Or am i looking to far into it?

Sorry to disappear on you guys, when it came crunch time to finish the bike it got pretty hectic. The paint code i used was 416, Carbon Black from the BMW e46 M3. The idea was for it to be similar to the Redbull Racing F1 team color, dark blue under bright lighting and black under darker lighting. So here it is

Sorry to spam you all at once, but heres some images from Club Moto, when Karl and I were ripping it up! The bike was working great! Only issue i ran into was that the rear speed ring which is original was out of true so I had to add some spacers to keep it from rubbing and then I kept having this issue with the coolant boiling over when I came in and stopped. If we got the blower on it right away it wouldnt overflow so i will have to deal with that. But thats that, thanks for tuning in guys!

Did you use any frame sliders?
Sato Racing engine protection kit. Get their shock support too, my bike had 1500 miles on it and the shock bolt had about a 15 degree bend in it. After some research these bolts were known for shearing off on early 1199s. The Sato shock support is supposed to help prevent that
