After 8 years is the electronic suspension still worth the money?

Just checked it out. Saw a bunch of guys drag racing on public hwy. outstanding, this is exactly why LE and the public in general can’t stand sport bikes. Next time you see some jack wagon doing a wheelie Down the interstate in traffic, thank him for the stigma and insurance rates.

yeah... to be clear, I was just noting that it is happening where he said it was. did not mean to suggest that it was impressive at all. that crew's bike's are all for sale now: H2R, SL V4 and HP4 Race... not sure I'd touch any of them w a 10 foot pole

back on topic. I think I like the electronic suspension on the V4S. Roads are miserable in my area so switching b/w street and sport/race is actually helpful
That’s actually a valid case for “on the fly” adjustable suspension.

The DES Dynamic settings are the same between Street and Sport, at least on the 2021 Panigale V4S. Oddly enough, when changed to DES Fixed, the settings are very different.

Pics?\ of this wreck? 190mph highside and you are alive? i got hucked this June at 80-90 and didnt fair well.
I agree with Dan, why would you ever do 190 on a highway?
Because I can lol we all do in houston I do track as well but at night roads are clear listen it doesnt matter the steering dampener failed on me at 195mph following my buddy with his 2021 HONDA fireblade RRR. EC is ...., next Panigale I Buy will be the base and I’ll buy all the mechanical ohlins and oz wheels blah blah. Can’t believe this .....

LE??? dude who gives a .... we pay our taxes just like anyone else, you do you we do us, yes track is a controlled environment but street is fun too especially cause you can stop at starbucks lol

respect to LE I have a ton of LE buddies that ride with us at night that are bummed about me crashing.

Glad you're alive, sorry it happened.

I doubt there has been a forensic analysis as to the specifics of the crash.

All of the electronics in the world won't overcome physics. If you got a tank slapper at 190 MPH, the bigger question is how you got there in the first place. I don't know your history with the bike, past service or suspension setup. But, I wouldn't rush to .... all over DES.

Hey brotha thanks and I had the baile well maintained and seen through with a master tech in Houston, essentially I serviced all fluid 3 weeks ago 1 week before I got the ohlins steering dampener and serviced, new seals and new ohlins oil in the dampener, bike had no isues before getting up to high tripple digits speeds before suspension was set to my weight with gear and dampener was set to almost the stiffest setting On the panigale, at 195 it shouldn’t have happen but it did and the dampenear gave the .... up did not absorb no energy, thing is wit’s electronic suspension it must always be connected because I has no memory you unplug it it resets and goes all the way back because manufactrue do that so you can Turn your handle Bars in a parking lot and not tip the bike over and sue the manufacture, this is what the official ohlins tech told me, he said to get the race dampener from them as the E dampener even at full lock the highest damp setting is still weaker then the aftermarket ohlins race dampener, the after market one will not move if you click the setting in the stiffest setting because in racing your not really going around parking lots trying to park to grab a coffee, thing is my dampener stop getting the signal to stay as stiff as it was and let the .... go at the absolute limit and all that energy at those speeds really caused the panigale chassis to get upset and just so you the bike we talking about is the same in my profile picture right here. Shame it is but im alive and I can walk around and do things this is what’s important ill get me another bike when the bank permits it. Thanks for your empathy.

I think these guys been watching too many IMKAY You-Tube videos lol

You know whats crazy I saw his videos like 3 or 4 weeks ago on how he wrecked and stuff but i feel and I told him it was lack of experience braking and im glad his good tho, but for me It was my equipment facing catastrophic failure meaning dampener along side my entire suspension because suspension had to cause that wobble or initiate it.

Wait you know my crew??? Lol

and those bikes are fine they sold because my buddies bought newer bikes and the cost of maintenance on lets a V4 SL is insane, it need full engine rebuilds because its a race bike.

Yeah im on none of those videos, Im more of the all rounder guy I like to hit corners but when no track time I hit the streets.
Still fun to hit the curves in houston ill do straight line of course we have very long wide open straight highways here. So we all rip on them.

I’m having a bit of a time with that last part. Law enforcement officers out in the middle of the night racing down the streets with these guys? I’m thinking no.
Mann....the grammar and punctuation nazi in me is dying to correct all his posts but I'm afraid of the headache.
An atomic clock dot have that kind of time.

To go back to original reason of this post, Electronic Ohlins relies way to much on the electronic signal from the the ecu.
So no not worth the money when you can get better suspension and have money for other mods like rims, maybe carbon & other little things.
Mechanical suspension is the way to go for reliability.

LOL you just commented

Yeah I know but I feel like it’s going no where, you guys are just going to talk ...., but it won’t change anything with any of the guys that ride fast on roads.

It is what is is. The same guys also go to the track.
