It’s a Ducati. They know their bikes are heavily modified. The dealer offered to ship my bike to me, brand new... with the full Akra on it. They will do what I want bc I am paying for it.
Sure the tach goes orange half way up but as I said b4 u coulda done a race track delivery on ur bike (like bmw euro delivery) and beat the .... out of it all the way to redline it’s first time out, no worries

I also got this feedback from my tuner as we wait for Woolich to release tuning capability for my bike:

“100% for just slip ons there is zero risk of damaging the motor. People get so mental about that and its spread all over the internet like is fact but really its total horse .... that our valves are some kind of fragile part sensitive to air fuel ratio. We have hardened valve seats if the bike was lean enough to cause issues it would run like total ... and you would not want to ride it. Also bikes from the factory are rich at full throttle and lean at part throttle . You can not hurt a motor at part throttle.”

Also hit me up for pricing when ur ready to look at exhaust options. Akra is nice since it’s legit official Ducati and we can get them but there are others that are quite excellent too. But I would highly recommend either a legit Dyno tune or as time goes on I’ll be able to recommend a flash but right now we’re waiting for the tools so we can develop an exceptional tune profile and then eventually it’ll be available for everyone

I’ll probably stick with stock exhaust but get a remap to reduce the mid revs Euro5 dip
Yeah I’m kinda liking being the quiet guy. Cops will go after the loud R3 that sounds like he’s speeding while I can quietly multiply the speed limit without drawing attention

u know what I do like, but it’s ........ expensive:

Yup. Main reason is that 155bhp is plenty power for the road. When the original R1 came out in 1998 (I had two....long story)...the whole world was going crazy at the too much insane power of 150bhp....the stock bike is faster than I am.
Ive also got an RVF400 which makes around 55bhp.Even that’s faster than I am in the twisties.

I’m sure I would have been a smear on the road by now with all this power if the advanced electronics were not available.

My 1998 R1 was brutal. Carbs and no electronics. Open the throttle in 1st or second and the rear would spin and the front lift at the same time...more fun mid corner than I could deal with!

I had just bought my buddies YZF-750 off of him (we were on college), and no sooner did he take a chunk of his student loan money and pull up in front of our Fraternity house on a brand new R1. That thing was insane.

Very nice! I wish they sold that heat shield for the factory exhaust...I suppose it's specific to the exhaust as far as mounting goes anyway. I believe the slip-on system has an UPMAP also, that is what I ordered. I tried looking on the website for the file because there is a phone APP, but I could not find the map to download as the registered owner.
