Personally, I believe that the base plot is always gonna be a moving reference point, depending on the version of Ducati map, plus settings being used.

As you can see, this is September time stamped, so is already the "old" map.

Having said that, since Akra say their system should be used with the standard "Race" map, I wonder how it will be affected by the continual updates Ducati will make to their own maps

Basically a grand more than the comparable Termi, most likely a little lighter and showing significant potential for more midrange and a bit more on the top end. We still have yet to clearly see what tuning can do with the Termis and it is possible that the Akra will respond better to tuning. Certainly looks like it works better with the factory race tuning than the Termi.

I'd expect some folks to buy it, just to have something different than what everyone else has.

Anyone heard anything about a Leo Vince system? I've got their full system on my 1098 and love it!

25 hp increase at 6000rpm!!! That is huuuge if its true. And why are people still saying its $4600 when ebay price is at $3995 I thought?

Those are the torque curves you're looking at. The plot is mis-aligned as the torque curves are above hp curves and the torque scale is way off, since there is no way an 1199 is putting out over 120 ft-lbs of torque. Properly scaled, my guess is about 10-15 ft. lbs. maximum torque improvement.

Since hp = torque x rpm if the lower curves were the torque curves there would be no way the upper curves could dip in the midrange.

Wow!!! Think about the possible combination of the Akropovic exhaust giving you the Mid range power of a 1198 --then add a custom mapping with a Rapidbike control module to give the top end of a S1000RR!

I'm putting my full term up for sale!

Yeah my bad, even better. I'd rather have a tq increase than hp, cuz the tq you feel by seat of pants...

I think Akrapovic system are meant to be used with PVC no matter how they put it. Personally i would not feel comfortable using map from Termi for Akra.

The unit of measurement might be in Nm vs Ft. LBS??

The latest Ducati 1199 map does add a bit of midrange, but the peak remains essentially the same.

However...,

Dave, the Redline Motorsports in Yorktwon, VA USA Engineer/Owner, is the brains behind the REXXER (USA Distributor) flash tuning in the USA. Redline is leading the industry with Ducati, Moto Guzzi, and MV Agusta flash tuning. Dave is working on new tuning for their 1199 test mule, an all-stock (for now) base 1199. While still a work-in-progress, I have posted their showroom stock vs first tune adjustment before-after dyno plot for your info... When Dave is satisfied that the gains and driveability are maximized, the map will be available through Redline and several other resellers.

That's a nice map. Redline is legit for sure. Any idea on timing? I think I'll give them a all and report back. Thanks for posting.

Correct me if im wrong, but Redline's map torque curve dont look that much different in the middle, where the new map from Ducati or the Akra offer huge gain, i honestly dont need 4 more hp on top, but would love to have that meaty midrange that twins are know for.

In looking at it again, you're definitely correct. Very noticeable difference between Redline and AR's recent dyno at about the 8k rpm range.

The Akro appears to be a much smoother delivery, where the AR is a bit radical. It peaks, drops, races up, then kinda wavers up at the top, but tops out 10% higher.

Please remember the Redline 1199 is all stock, we have a Akrapovic full system on order and will install it as soon as it comes in. We will also have maps for Termignoni slip on and full system, we are trying to make ride ability our number one focus.
