Akrapovic vs Termi (sound)

The upmap just gives you another set of Ducati presets. With the other options you can adjust parameters for your set of circumstances.

I think in this case you get what you pay for. Aftermarket fuel management gives you more options.

Having the termi on my 1199 and the akra on the 1299 I don't think the termi even comes close to the sound of the akra when riding. I always felt disappointed with the termi, compared to the sound of termis on other ducatis. The akra to me sounds the way I always expected a pipe for the panigale to sound.

Agreed 100% - I found exactly the same

Whats the bottom line for HP/weight/sound for the full Akrap vs full Termi with forward exit?

Just my 2c worth.
I finally got an Akra DP slip-on (Haven't installed up-map, unsure if I should bother) and definitely sounds better than stock. Sound level is about same when idling, but abit deeper, and when getting into the high rpm's instead of sounding tinny like a sewing machine above 6000rpm on the stock exhaust, the akra maintains that deep roar. Bloody love it! And she likes to pop more often, and louder too, during upshifts :D.
Kept the flapper valve and baffle connected to not draw too much attention. Engine does seem to run a bit lumpier during low speeds, but my butt dyno DEFINITELY noticed more pull from 3000rpm onwards :D, totally caught me off guard when taking off as I was expecting no change.
Overall, a very happy man :D :D :D

Too bad that $2700 for the full Evo doesn't still exist like it did when this thread was started. That kind of makes my heart sad since we're getting into upgrade season (aka winter).

I got my slip-on for real cheap i reckon. $1500 AUD on ebay. Was the only bidder her in oz so got really lucky!
