you know, I've been debating on building an R for the cost of my current bike (as a B bike for race) and buying a R1. then I come to my senses and say .... that, aint nothing ....... with the R. Excuse the grammar and language.

LOL but you've thought about it. I knew it lol. Buy it for a streetbike

No street riding for me man. I'm either racing or track days. The streets here in Florida with the old people, tourists and young people on cell phones is too dangerous. And I can't run from the police down here like I use to in DC, Maryland and VA.

:D....for cornering all you have is highway on and off ramps when it comes to street riding.

Arrow just post videos and HP #s and it looks like 189hp for the R1(Full titanium system). MotoRapido posted their dyno #s for the new R, 200.4 HP with slip ons......

We have a couple of different exhaust systems and the bike puts out some serious hp so it's reasonably easy to get over 185 without much work but 200hp with slips won't happen.

Post-paint job pics coming soon Reg?? And a video of them running the track? :D

Go check Moto Rapido's Facebook page or ask Kope.

Both you and I know certain dyno's read very high, we currently have two bikes we are building so i can tell you that a slip will not get you 200bhp.

but like i said the bikes are really really powerful and will be a game changer especially for the price, the electronics are also amazing.

It's very well known the Steve's Dyno at Motorapido is very conservative. With all the work Kope did, I don't think he got 200hp. And he has EVERYTHING!!!

got it, i thought you meant stock with just the slip.

Like i said the bike is a monster. You should try it when you get a chance it makes you wonder whether the 1199/1299 is worth the extra $$.

it's a great time for bikes and it's good to see the boundaries being pushed and the technology that was reserved for SBK's now being available at a very affordable price point.

I totally agree that it's a good times for motorcyclists. In reference to the 2015 R and Kope's bike was this. Kope has every part imaginable and could probably be described as a 2015 R with all those parts and his bike didn't get 200hp. But the new R with slip ons got 200hp. No full system, no compression change and 200hp. I did ask the question what exactly can timing meant and haven't received an answer.

Fixed it to public sharing, sorry about that those who said it needed permission to access. I approved the ones I got, everyone else should be able to see it now.

I think it's best not to get too excited about the new R1 until it's had some decent track time and set up .
From what I hear it's not living up to the hype on the track but time will tell .
