Another Rossi helmet

No, not the yellow stickers. Damn, they are ugly !
Just plain black, dammit!

Ugly? Dude.... are you serious? This has got to be his first helmet that isn't so hectic but has an amazing design! This is the sickest helmet out there and the black and fluo version is fattest version of this helmet. All black is too boring, all the colors is a bit too much. When I am getting one it will definitely be this one. Black and yellow... Rossi style

All black is elegant.
The flashy colors are what prepubertal girls loves to wear.

You already have that nice Bell Star in plain carbon!

Not officially distributed in Europa, so American shape only and not legal on road (although I don't give a crap about legal).
And my all carbon Arai already exceed it.

But what the Arai lacks is that shape. That shape is pure genius, and I can't wait to try this AGV.

That's something you are only afraid of, I know what I like and I find it not to be an overkill but the exact right combination of colors to take it from boring to crazy! It's a waste to wear this helmet in all black. But than again, you shouldn't be afraid that the colors make you a teenager, because if this is the case, it's likely that it's not about the helmet! But we're talking about taste here, hard to argue that! Think the all black is nice to...

It's not being afraid, I don't care about that. It's about either I want to be an x'mas tree or not. And I don't. :)

And that goes for the replicas and the Ducati branded outfits.

Am I Valentino Rossi? Nope. Am I a Ducati employee ? Neither. Why would I pay to wear their colors and brand? They would pay me for advertising them on my outfits, that would make sense.

But they won't, and my bike is already branded Ducati, and my outfits branded Dainese, my helmet Arai and maybe soon AGV.

That's already a lot, especially since I am not a mall, but a man.

I bear with that since Ducati made the bike, and they have the right to sign their work. Same goes for the others. But wearing an AGV helmet with Rossi stuff would be going to far. I am not a slave of the overpriced advertising of a loser.

So, I'll keep my dignity, thanks.

In my mind I find it impossible to justify spending over 3k for an exhaust system, when soon there will be others as good or better for 1/3 the price and now I see helmets like the bell carbon at 3k. Man, and this helmet who knows how much!
I could afford them it's just is it worth it? Heck the BWM is 10k less then my S/abs and may be the better bike, that's hard enough to take. OK no more rambling...

The Bell Star in carbon is around $650 I think. This AGV is about $1000.

The Arai is worth every penny.
Just try a 1.000km day, and you'll get my point. ^^

Dude, you talk like you opinion is better than other peoples' opinion. What do you mean you are a man, so we aren't? That's a bit offensive... like the teenager coimparison. I respect your opinion when you say you don't want to wear stuff from Rossi because you're not him, that's a fair point....ok. But please don't act like you know so much more than other people, and insult other people's opinion, that's not cool. It's just a matter of taste... right?

I'd still choose the black/yellow one over any other helmet anyday...

lol I think the whole forum is getting jumpy lately. Forums are nothing more then opinions by guys sitting behind their computers in their underwear. (ok last part might just me me)
I'm not offended by anyone cause its all just BS at the end of the day.
What does offend me is the price tag of these high end helmets. :)

play nice

Don't overreact to the things I write.

That's my opinion and my point of view; they apply to me and I don't remember saying anywhere they applied to everybody else.

I noticed that Champion Helmets updated the price, it's now 980 Euro, up from the expected price of 845 Euro. The deposit is now 98, up from 80.

*shake hands*

Anyway, count on me for testing the helmet as soon as it is available. I am an helmet whore, tried them all on the market.

haha... ok. You ´ll have to wait until february 2013 though but I have also pre-ordered this baby. Can't wait to get my hands on it...

Which helmet did you like most of all the helmets you had?

Isn't the release date a US one ? Anyway, will wait.

Right now, I have my favorite helmet, the Arai RX7-RC. Just love it, fits perfect, just the Pinlock is to change after a winter riding at temps below O°C, but that was expected. The screen is still faultless, as the whole helmet. Really happy with it.

My second favorite has been the Shoei XR-1100, very good helmet, but one rank under Arai. Their new Neotec is really nice; I don't like these crossover helmets, but this one made me think twice.

AGV helmets have not been that good, but I expect a lot from the PistaGP, and the whole new line they are working on. But I will never anything AGV prior to this one, although Dainese is my outfit manufacturer of choice.

I can't stand Schubert, but that's because they don't fit me at all. When I wear one, I become claustrophobic, especially their C3. Also, they look quite plastic to me. I am the only one to see them as plastic, so I don't really know where it comes from; maybe since I partially learn my life as a designer, I can spot the materials instantly.

Most other helmets were fine, but just fine : not especially bad, but not especially good too.

So, in the end, my top 2 is Arai then Shoei, and I don't really have a third brand I really like, although it might change once I try the PistaGP.

What about you ?

I bought the Arai Rx7-GP (which is the Corsair V in the US) and had a Schuberth (C3) before.
I was quite happy with the Schuberth but since I own the Arai, I wouldn't even consider wearing the Schuberth anymore. The quality of the Arai is on a completely different level but so is the price ;)
