Fantastic... I am still clueless regarding the shipment of my base 1199 for Singapore.. =/
 
Had my S in for 600 mile service last week and saw a bunch base models being prepped at dealer (Motofit in Danbury CT)
 
Picking min up tomorrow.

Placed deposit at NJ dealer Cross Country Ducati in NJ, was getting the usual runaround, then decided to give another dealer a call and he told be he had bikes on the way so i switched and i'm picking bike up tomorrow as opposed to "some time in June"
 
Nice, finally me too. Went to cross country today and saw my standard non abs sitting outside in the crate. Picking her up on thursday...dealer said that they came in this morning. Sooo happy
 
Finally got my baby, base without ABS. Added comfort seat, carbon Rear hugger, Alarm and R&G carbon shock guard (50% cheaper that Ducati's) The torque is fab (only had Jap/Hondas in the past 125, 600rr, Fireblade)

Running standard settings for a bit apart from engine break OFF and shock changed to P.

A small amount of smoke on first start (2 miles on the clock) but none after (but warm starts, well see what a cold morning has to offer tomorrow) Had to move clutch fluid pot slightly as it was rubbing on screen.

Thighs warmed nicely but flapping your legs like Leon Haslam gets rid of the heat. Looking forward to ride no2 tomorrow.

Waiting for mine too, apparently its only in sg that majority of us are getting a base model.. for the price we would have gotten 2 x base model in US.
 
Got mine last night!

Only 40 miles.

Loud. Fast. Agile. Hot (literally and figuratively). Mirrors inoperative without contortions.

My 11 year old daughter should be able to train me on how to use all the buttons that run the dash functions.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Got the call while I was at work today. Gonna pick mine up Saturday!!!! :D
 
Finally picked up my base model during Memorial Day weekend .. Yes!!! This thing is a beast for sure!!! Cant wait to get it on the track. I've had the TERMIS slip-On added for delivery, I've already added the front tire CF guard, the swing-arm CF guard, and I now will add the R & G tail tidy (any threads already on here for install shortcuts or hints???), will add the clutch CF cover, better grips, longer foot pegs, exhaust heat wrap, and tank protector. Pics soon!!!
 
Finally !

:) Well, the day has finally come ! Exactly nine months to the day of my initial deposit . I feel like I gave birth ! Did the paperwork today , and hope to pick it up either tomorrow or Sat. , depending on the weather.
Can't figure out how to post pics. Just picture a 40 yr old bald guy cheesing-up like a total retard in a dealerships lobby. Can't wait ! :)
