Just a friendly competition: Who can most accurately guess what the respective top speeds of the 2015 1199R and the 1299 Will be?

I will start.

1199R = 196 mph

1299 = 187 mph.

Superleggera was GPS verified at 192mph in at least one test. The new R won't be any slower.

MCN already tested the 1299 at 179 so I will say 184 for the R

Why would the new R be faster than the SL? I'd guess just the opposite.

I didn't say it would be faster, but it won't be a measurable amount slower. Aerodynamics on the new R are just as good and it'll match it on HP so it'll be within margin of error.

One of the reviews said they got the R up to 202 in the front stretch of COTA. I know there will be a difference of speed when compared to GPS verified.

Doesn't the dash go blank before 200? Or did they clock it with something else?

The R keeps going in speed but doesn't reflect on the dash.
