The aprilia is the better bike by a large margin.Pani...better looks...and that's it! Haven't missed my 1199 one bit and love the RSV4 every single ride.No comparison!

Great write up! Thanks. Please post your thoughts once you pass the Canada Safety Council Motorcycle Training Program.

Oh you have a '10, don't detonate that motor now there sweetness.

Sooooo, hit 1000 miles on the RSV4. Great bike! Plenty fast. I'm much more comfortable on it than the Pani. I can ride over 100 miles without discomfort and needing to get off for a stretch. After 30 miles on the Pani, my body was killing me.
Love the big round tach on the Ape! Any other tach seems gimmicky to me. Grippy pegs and seat, so ready to go out of the box.
The Panigale is faster, better looking (though the Ape looks the business) and handles better. I'm not verbose in the handling of motorcycles so I can't be specific in why I was faster on the Pani. I was cornering faster and using most of the rear tire on the Pani. I'm prolly 10 to 15 MPH slower and have 1 inch chicken strips on the Ape. I don't think it's the weight because I had no issue tossing around my Agusta F4 and that was a cow.
The fueling on the RSV4 is excellent! Latest map on the Pani was much improved over original but was still not great.
My AR pipe sounds awesome!:D
I envy you guys that are able to enjoy the Pani. It was the most exciting bike I've ever ridden.

Happy to hear you are enjoying the RSV4. I have to say after all the 2013 comparisons I've read, I am very intrigued and would like to ride one. When you say you are "faster", is that an assumption or based on actual lap times on a track? Not being contentious, just really curious.

Haha, you feel that you needed to add this to mitigate the flames? I don't blame you but it's still funny.

After 30 miles? Get in better shape pronto.

Street riding. I have a favorite route and have run it so much, I know my speed in particular corners. Where I was pushing my limits on the Pani, I feel like I'm pushing my limits at 15 MPH slower on the Ape:confused:
And I'm serious on the Pani being an exciting bike. Visceral is the word often used here and I'd say that's pretty accurate.

I think that pretty much sums it up. It's not about being the fastest bike to me, hell I can destroy most people on local roads on a 250. It's about riding the most exciting bike.

Hey lance...Its not about being on the fastest or coolest bike..Its about being on the bike that works for you.... Enjoy your Ape :)

you may want to consider an organic plant-based diet and get your body alkaline...

5'10 , 170 LBS. Work out 4-5 times a week, HOWEVER, herniated disc C5-C6, (car crash), big ol' titanium plate in shoulder, buggered knee (bike crash) and Rheumatoid arthritus. :(

how do you mean like what?

most processed foods are acidic, as is sugar, flesh, etc. most diets cause the body to go acid where cancer, candida and arthritis get exacerbated and thrive. and swelling is caused by acidity...etc.

an organic plant-based diet will allow your body to recover and digest easier and faster, allowing you to attain optimal homeostasis.

a cold glass of filtered water with a quarter of organic lemon first thing in morning is most alkalizing thing you can ingest -- i know a lemon tastes "acid" but it happens to be incredibly alkalizing. also, foods like dairy are to be avoided.

that's just the tip of it.....try an alkaline diet that's vegan and your arthritis will be vastly improved in a matter of months.

edit: and for workouts there is a raw vegan organic supplement that has more protein than whey and the likes......so you can get way more protein that is significantly more digestible such that your muscles post work out can use the protein faster without taxing itself from breaking down animal sources...

Like what??
