Bad mouthing vendors/merchants on some other forums is reason to get banned. They usually prefer the PM route to address issues so it doesn't turn into a pissing contest. That said, I don't agree with that approach at all since that's basically saying let's keep the negative experience away from the public.
As a consumer, we should have the option to witness it all. Not only the good products/customer service experience but also how a business owner conducts himself when he's under a microscope. Rich wasn't randomly put in that situation. He dug his own grave and handled it in a piss poor manner. He could have tried to right his wrong and also NOT make these absurd performance claims when they couldn't be duplicated by anyone who did buy his product and I'm certain almost all of his bashing would have come to a screeching halt, maybe even praised for the way he attempted to be fix his customers problems.
Wafatboy spent a ton of money on this product/dyno time and whatever else and he got shortchanged to say the least. Imagine if this same exact scenario panned out with the Akrapovic exhaust. Do you honestly think as gorgeous and as awesome as it sounds that people would continue to drool over it and wish they could have it? I don't think so. I wouldn't careif the product was half the price it is now. I still wouldn't support it.
The power of negative feedback is immense. As a business owner, you should do everything in your power to make a bad experience good. Even if it means taking a hit to address the issue. It will potentially gain you a lot more business in the long run
