I've had about 35 different bikes. Cruisers, sport bikes, sport tourers, a dual sports. There are only 2 I regret not having today. The first was a 1982 Kawasaki KZ1000 with a 4 into 1 Kerker. The other was my 2004 Honda RC51. I fell in love with v twin sport bikes on that RC51.

I just sold my Tuono and loved the V4. Sounded amazing. My Anniversario delivers on 11/14. I suspect it may squash my RC regret.

Only one bike I ever had I regretted buying. It was a Suzuki SV1000S. Handled like crap!!

Name the bikes you regret no longer having. Or the ones you regretted buying.

...its better to just let them go....hold no regrets....they would just melt into the ground from lack of use - all the ones i let go got plenty of use from me....so when a new one arrived i knew it was time to let the old one go....

"never look behind you....your troubles will be few"

I managed to plate a Honda RVF400 here in Oregon. 400cc of V4 awesomeness. Not quite sure what I was thinking when I sold it.

I had a Multi 1200S and an 848Evo Corse SE with some light upgrades for track days. I sold both and now only have the 1299.

In retrospect, that was a mistake. I do love the 1299 but my 848 was paid off and that combo of bikes was just perfect.

Super Thread !!

Hey Rainman!!

I have to say that this is an awesome thread to put up brother!!
Every one of us has something like this on our plates and look back upon those bikes saying those exact words to ourselves man "Damn, I wish I never got rid of that bike!!!!"

We all have our different reasons why we look back and say that to ourselves and whatever we ride now is no doubt something we love, but it perhaps doesnt have something from a previously owned bike that prompts us to think this way!

If ok with you, Id like to post some pics of THREE bikes I regret getting of, either by selling them or trading them in for whatever we own now. In my case, they are listed here, but not in any particular order at all:

1) Ducati 1198s Corse - Limited Edition #244 out of 500 produced

2) Ducati 900SP (Tricked out to be a 944 with MANY mods by BCM in NH.

3) Suzuki SV650 (Tricked out engine, suspension, etc) and subsequently sold to our famous Moderator "Phil Screamer" who used this bike to race WERA for the very first time, and won 99% of all races he entered on it during his very 1st year Club Racing! **What meant the world to me was that each time he won a race and went up to accept his trophy he even thanked me for the bike too! :D

**I even used my old Ducati 748R Bodywork on this bike which puzzled so many other racers when they saw the Ducati bodywork & Suzuki name on tank!

Though I have tons of pics of them ALL, I will only use what Im allowed here.
Plus, I even tossed in the current bike too = 1199s Tricolore (Heavily Modded!)

KO Honda XR 75
Yamaha YZ 80 C
1975 Ducati 900 SS
Ducati 998 R
Ducati Desmosedici

I wish I kept those bikes .

Bikes I wish I kept..... I still do miss my Streetfighter S, that thing was angry and I loved every minute of it. Still have a soft spot for the hyper SP... luckily the two in have now make it easy to forget the past bikes I've been lucky enough to own

My race bikes have been a Elsinor 250, a Husky 360, a Yamaha YZ125 when they first came out with the cantilever suspension and a Yamaha RD 350.

Wish I still had all of the above.

All my road bikes have been Ducati's and I am so loyal to Ducati's I have never ridden any other bike on the road, so therefor never owned another brand......but of all the bikes I have had I wish I still had my 916sps, something about the sound of that bike was awesome.

My 1976 Kwaka Z900 and my 73 Honda XR75
and wish I had bought that 73 Ducati 750S back in 79 and kept it, it was selling for $1700 back then. It was raining and would not start so I did not buy it, as it turned out it was the kill switch shorted out.

I had a Moto Guzzi Sport 1100 that I loved. Sounded great and you never saw another one on the road. I love all the old Guzzis. One of my dream bikes is a Daytona.

I regret selling my 2001 996. And I regret buying a 2008 1098 in its place. I also miss my 2001 GSXR750.

Be nice so see a pic of the 1958 AJS. Some nice old bikes.

2010 675SE. Such an awesome bike. Got tipped over at my old jobs parking lot and I sold it after I received the insurance check for the damage. Wish I would have kept it.

No doubt I still wish I had my '04 ZX10r. Crazy light with insane power. That thing would stick you in the ground like a golf tee if you lost attention for a millisecond. Closest bike to it is my Pani R, except it didn't have the electronic safety net!

Worse bike was an '87 Ninja 750r (pre perimeter frame Zx's). Decent power with unsolvable handling. That 16" front nearly killed me several times.
