Brembo RCS w/BSD switches

@Alkhater Do you mind sharing photos and possible parts you used to get the reservoir to fit? I am about to install my RCS17 and I keep hearing it's a pain in the ass to get the reservoir to fit. I did buy some bendable brackets hoping it'll help.

We rerouted my reservoirs more toward the center of the triples.

That's probably the smartest solution xD... hadn't thought of that as well.

I'll fiddle with it today.

Thanks for posting about your install. I didn’t get the RCS but will be doing clip-ons and switches soon, everything is on the way.

I got the Jet Prime switch that mounts to the master along with their throttle tube. I may go to a cable actuated throttle, I’m not sure.

I’m thinking about the cable throttle setup too, install looks pretty simple, I’m curious as to whether it affects the electronic Nannie’s though, like skid control and wheelie control.

Dumb question again but what clear tubing did you use for your brake? I think I am going to need to purchase some that are a bit longer in length but like the clear look.

They are very easy to use and if positioned well (close to the grips) they can be very ergonomic.

Mine eliminate the turn signals though. Other brands do offer street friendly variants.

I’d describe what each of the seven buttons does on the left but it’ll be a lot simpler to just show the graphic. I’ll share a pic after work.

@Steven31371 I like how your bars are positioned forward. What's the position of your clip ons in relation to the triples? Did you have any problems with your steering damper rod hitting the clip on clamps when steering is locked?

Mine are set at the number 3 position and if I try to move them forward then the damper rod hits the left clamp on right lock even though I've done some grinding for clearance.

I have a manual steering damper so the rod protrudes to the left, not sure if that makes a difference or if the manual damper is any longer 🤷‍♂️ i'll post some pics later.

Hey brother, got home last night, went to take picks of the clipon position indicators .

Then remembered that we took the IMA clipons off and put Woodcrafts on. That was a track consideration, they cost less and are easier to replace quickly at the track. You can remove the woodcraft clipons without lifting the top of the triple tree.

Regarding the steering dampener, I still have the stock electronic one, and there is no interference.

Below are pics lock to lock.

Thanks for the pics.

Your steering damper is either shorter than mine or the clip ons are less bulky. You definitely have a lot more clearance.

I’ll check the damper length on the SF as I believe they’re the same.

Quick question, are the switches easy to use and worth the change

Yes and no, I have to use them for clearance issues to make all the other stuff fit like my thumb brake on the left and Brake MC on the left.

I have the full street version on both sides, that have turn signals etc, full menu utilization.

My thoughts on them are mixed. Visually I like how they clean up the bars, and the skittles look cool. The cheap plastic coverings on the stock units just look out of place on my bike. Not a big deal but an annoying little eyesoar.

They are ergonomic to reach while riding, but if I’m honest the stock controls are way more intuitive and easier to use, to navigate the menu’s, ti set the lap timer etc…and to this day while riding on the street I have to think about which button is the left turn signal versus the right.

So, they look better, are required for use with many other aftermarket parts, but can be annoying ergonomically on the street.

Net net if I didn’t HAVE to use them I’d probably put the stock ones back on.

Standard Tygon tubing for brake reservoir lines, and yeah life is easier of it you keep a few lengths if it around. A side note on that, the clear Tygon tubing actually held up my build a bit because it was continuously on back order, so I ordered like 10 feet of it so next time we don’t have to wait a month to get it if needed.

Doesn't his get in the way of your dash?
Also what is going on with how hammered the tops of your forks and yours clip ons are??

No they sit low enough that they aren’t in my line of sight to the dash.

Below are pics of what it looks like while on the bike, both while sitting up and in a tuck.

With regards to this blue nuts that everybody cares so much about, was adjusting at the track and don’t care about them as much as everybody else does lol

Also they aren’t on the bike anymore, always planned on changing the fork inserts, they have FKR 108’s now.

We mounted the reservoirs directly to the triple tree by drilling and tapping the triple tree and attaching the reservoirs there. They sit pretty low and clear everything well when placed there, honestly I don’t know why they don’t come from the factory positioned that way.

As a side note the 2nd reservoir on the left side is for the thumb brake.

Thanks Steven, if I was not needing indicators then I'd probably go for it being a sucker for what looks cool!
