Brembo RCS w/BSD switches

I bent my bracket a bit to get mine to allow the larger brake reservoir to clear the fairing. The new 2022 V4 comes with black brackets. I might try Ceracoating mine to soften the look of the brushed alu.

Fitted Domino throttle tube/controller and it feels good.

Noticeably shorter throw which makes more comfortable to use.

What I didn’t expect is the much stiffer throttle return spring which is extremely satisfying. It allows for much better precision.

I had to rotate the grip forward though to allow for clearance between it and the switches. The bottom cover of the grip would otherwise make contact.

Now I can move the switches a little further out.

Glad you got your setup working!

Did you drill that hole in the bar? Or was it from pulling out the locating pin with pliers (ie it was already that size)?

If, you've opened out the hole, by drilling the pin with a larger bit, I would be very concerned about the integrity of the bar.

I may sound, overly cautious/concerned/wary, but bars do snap/bend, under normal riding conditions. Which, is obviously sub optimal.

And, I seem to remember, when I fitted my brake lever guard, the fitting stopped the throttle returning. It wasn't interacting with the twist grip, but was expanding the tube, to create friction between the bar and twist grip. This was on the stock bar originally.

ie the bar material is softer than you might expect.

Thanks!

Hole was drilled by a technician at the dealership to fit the stock controls, he did the work that time.

The IMA bars are a beefier than stock, the ID is about 3-4mm smaller so I'm hoping they'll hold up. That's also why I don't have any bar ends, I need smaller adapters.

Thanks for the heads up 👍

Thanks!

Yes.

Standard.

What offset are you running with the IMA Triple Clamps? 30mm is the standard from factory (DUCATI V4) correct? Curious, if you have tried any of the different offsets that can be purchased and recommend? Thanks again for any info..

Alk are you happy with the IMA clip ons?

Well, kind of...

Pluses:
- Good adjustability... can be angled at 0, 2.5, 5, 7.5 degrees
- Beefy... Clamps and bars are thicc so the assembly is very rigid and feels premium.

Minuses:
- Beefy... Clamps are quite bulky and take up some space, bars are thicc and have a smaller ID than stock so it's a PIA to find bar-ends/brake guard that fits.
- Possibly heavier than other options.

I took my IMA clipons off and put the Woodcraft on

Lighter, smaller, still built strong, good position, the main thing though is that the Woodcraft can be removed and replaced without taking the top triple clamp off. So off you lay the bike down they are quick and easy to replace, and low cost enough to just keep several sets on hand.

Nice!

In terms of bar replacement... I don't think any brand requires top triple removal. With IMA it's just 4 pinch bolts that need to be loosened on each end, the bar slips out and can be replaced. Clamps shouldn't need replacing in most cases.

My reasoning for picking IMA is that I want my ergonomics to be good and the IMA offer the most adjustability.

If I settle on control positions and have to choose parts again I would opt for Spider tbh.... that goes for rear sets as well.

I actually got annoyed with myself continually changing the adjustment of the IMA clipons lol

I like the Spider rearsets but I’m pretty attached to the Attack Performance ones I have…though I’m still playing with peg position…maybe too much adjustability there too and overthinking it haha

I have the Attack Performance sets, they’re nice but not plug and play. Also, although the pegs are very nice and grippy they are narrow and I’ve heard that because of that they wear a hole in the sole of your boots pretty fast. 🤷‍♂️

Those spikes on the end of the foot peg probably don’t help with boot wear, that’s one of the main selling points for me, I’m a pretty big guy and I load a lot of weight on the outside leg at lean, the Rizoma rearsets and foot peg that came on the bike weren’t grippy enough for me and my foot slipped off the peg a couple of times at maximum lean for some minor ‘oh ....’ moments lol

Never happened with the AP footpegs…also as I understand it the footpegs have a universal screw in size so you can mix other footpegs with different rearsets.
