I know there is plenty written on this, however; I am going to have my slips and exhaust done in Satin Black. What I am wondering is, do you have to take the Termi identity plate off or do they just mask it off?

If it is best to remove it, what has others done? I have done a lot of blind rivets in the past but no longer have the tools for it, so was hoping that this can be done without too big of a hassle.

I would imagine that it is also best to have the db killers done separately?

Thanks,

Im interested in doing this as well,
Could you share more of your experience when you are done...

Full Termignoni Exhaust was completely disassembled

My dealer completely disassembled the full term exhaust system including the removal of the logos from the cans and shipped the pieces to Jet-Hot to coat. Then the dealer assembled everything and installed on the bike.

Do you "actually" notice a difference in the heat coming from the can's?

I had exhaust coated prior to my first ride so I am unable to describe the difference. Honestly, the heat is crazy when stopped at a stop sign or stop light. However, the new shield configuration from Ducati has helped immensely. I had the exhaust coated to prevent metal discoloration. I prefer the black uniform color.
