CHECKMATE~ now what? My Review

1199 SEDUCATIVE Suspention set to P, all else stock settings.
Breaking in simi hard, mostly back road with many combination turns and great elivation changes

Simply put, this is undeniably a Ducati Superbike...and yes my wrists still hurt lol

+I'll try not to state all the obvious but, this bike is pure ......Big grin and have to restrain myself from looking down at it while I ride

+Never ever smoked

+Sounds PHENOMINAL and won't even bother to investigate removing stock baffles as originally planned (exhaust valve cable disconnectled)

+Electronics has the rest playing catch up, love the dash and couldnt ask for more...what more do you need? Riding modes very nice and precise.

+Mirrors...they actually work !! I don't think most ppl realize the mirror itself (not the housing) moves in every direction. I can now look around my elbows instead of between my elbow and torso lol

+Engine/Gearbox im very pleased with...power delivery is great and gearbox smooth....QS great as it was on the 1198 (waiting for my Reverse Power Shifter, hopefully money well spent)

+Did I mention ... Appeal??

+/-Kickstand not a prob with street shoes...not so good with riding boots
+/-LH Controls, I like the up/down switches and flash button. I find that the turn sig switch takes too much effort/concentration to switch Left. On a good note, after my 1st ride home I not longer hit cancel button twice as I'm used to

-HOTT...riding around town

-Paint...it is not that the paint is soft, there's just not enough layers of clear coat. I already have a deep gash all the way to the plastic from im guessing a pebble :-\

-Oil Guage...are they kidding?

-Seat Harder that the 1198 and 999...is that possible? lol

----Having to pull myself away to spend time with my lady lol

I agree about the mirrors. First bike I can remember that the mirror moves like in a car, not the housing itself. I still find the shake like crazy and headlights look like slow shutter photography.

Yeah man, im liking these 200s...them chicken strips are from back road riding in street jeans, I still haven't suited up yet

I kinda like the words on the edge of the tire..but i'll get rid of em lol

What are those stripes on your rims?

Must be part of the 'SE' ducati 'VE' Package.

Stripes and letting on wheels you can find on eBay and had my local grafics guy make the "seDUCATIve" decal....brushed aluminum silver and reflective white. Same on my helmet.

Also painted Perelli on tires

Now my bike stands out ;-).

OK I just have to be a jerk, love the bike, great review, hate the decal. seDucative is a great play on words but...
It's a Ducati, leave perfection alone. I see guys painting skulls & flames on their Diavels. What can I say, variety is the spice of life. Hell at least you have your bike.

I promise, I won't put any more decals on Your Highness lol...

Do what you will with yours bud, I think my bike is still very much classy/sexy...it has a discrete touch of uniqueness.
