Hi All,

What is the cost you guys have to pay for the 1199 oil filter? I was charge Singapore Dollar $58 for that piece alone from the dealer here. Yes I'm fully aware its different from the previous sportbikes model but for it to cost a whooping $25 up to $58, that is a big jump.

And also i was told that the 1000km service will cost me about $320 plus oil and parts as the dealer claim that Ducati requires 2hours minimum charge to service the bike. Are you guys being told the same thing or my dealer is BShitting?

Cheers

Ducati has been using the same oil filter for most of their bikes for a long time which made it easy to get it at a lower cost from aftermarket suppliers. Since the 1199 uses a whole new set up it might take some time for companies like K&N, Wix etc. to start producing a same quality lower cost product. Until then you will be paying a premium. :(

I picked up a replacement filter the other day at a cost of $38. They are very proud of their filter..haha

39.92 $CAN plus taxes.....was told 2 hours of labour just for the service....had them remove the emissions canister and change the antifreeze for water with cool aide for track use.
Total 2h50min at 80$/hr plus parts = 346.97 $CAN not to mention the 50 bucks for the taxman.

About the going rates around here, matter of fact I heard of worse:(
